DESCRIPTION

BBC Weather Widget Fetches the latest 5 day weather forecast from the BBC Weather Centre. Shows the current temperature, hi/low temperatures and weather summary for each day. The wind information is also displayed via the weather symbol tooltips.

Now with current weather information.

The forecast can be fetched for UK postcodes and locations. Worldwide locations are also supported.

RORO01  NO LONGER SHOWS CURRENT LOCAL TEMPERATURE

I have noticed the BBC have recently changed the layout of their local weather page. I don't know if this has caused the current local temperature to disappear on the widget but I hope the developer can fix this.

This is a perfect widget which shows the weather in my location in England. All the features are as described by the developer and more - humidity, visibility, pressure and time of observation.

XYPHER  Needs an update. Will crash Amnesty Singles. Impossible to choose a City location other than Edinburgh.

ANONYMOUS  Nice widget, although it gives the forecast only (Highs and Lows), rather than the current temperature... it'll co-exist with Apple's widget on my Dashboard.

ANONYMOUS  this is great... apple's widget says 7ºc and rain, this one says 11ºc and sunny for toronto (which it is).

and celcius as default to boot! woo hoo.

RONAN  Excellent performance!

Beats Apple's offering hands-down. Apple's widget misidentified Dublin as being in the US somewhere, failing to read my localisation data.

The Beeb's widget allows me to chose between Dublin and Dublin Airport for weather.

Most important, it's right. If a widget gets the current weather wrong, what hope has it of getting the forecast right?

Clunk. The Apple weather widget just hit the bin.
