DESCRIPTION
iMathGeo is a software I began to develop 10 years ago when I was a student in math. At the beginning, it was only to simplify my teachers' lives in maths. The first target was to have the best solution to write the fastest possible mathematic text. I develop this software in multiple directions: formula calculus, graphics, matrix, basic differential calculus. One of the most important technologies I developed is the ability to export and to import, like an equations editor. It can easily export/import all expressions to Indesign/Word/Pages/Keynote/Powerpoint/iWeb.
WHAT'S NEW
Version 2.2:

New

  • Snow Leopard support OS 10.6
  • Now it's possible to draw the Gamma et Zeta function
  • It's possible to use Growl small notifications
  • The copy and paste is now under Snow Leopard with PDF format
  • The script Menu is now useable under Snow Leopard
  • support of Pages/Keynote/Iweb etc ... under Snow Leopard.
  • Trigonometric mode support (radian, degree, gradient).
  • Applescript support (for the roll and rolld functions)
  • the fsolve function now work correctly with bisectionsolver option.
  • The matrices work now fine with applescript.
  • The software is now more stable with many tasks running together
  • Now the memory and the processing time is freed correctly when a task is killed.

Typograficall adds

  • Now the engine manage the spaces between each caracters.
  • Now it's possible to manage all the fonts and you can use them with all the classical operators.
  • I add new operators, like approximately, different ....
  • Now it's possible to manage matrices
  • It's possible to manage new symbols, the symbols Real, Complex, Natural, etc ...
  • It's possible to write such expression : AB'+BC' or f'(x) etc....
  • Now it's possible to use the the underscore symbol.
  • It's possible to use the °,* symbol.
  • It's time to use the integral an sum symbol too.
  • It's always possible to use the, angle, arc and vector symbol too.
  • It's possible to write from two manners a differential.

The communication is improved

  • The communication inspector is rewritten, it's possible to personnalize all the the inspector
  • Word 2008 SP1 is now supported. But if the document is to long, you'll notice some problems of performance, it's a problem of word.
  • Now Indesign CS3 is totally supported, you can manage all the fonts.

Formal caculation

  • Now it's possible to find primitive and ot evaluate integral.
  • It's now possible to solve linear or non linear equation.
  • it's possible to find roots in C or R algebra
  • It's possible to find limits.
  • It's possible to factorize
  • To search Taylor developpement.
  • To find infinits sum or products.
  • Now it's possible to work with matrices (inverse, transpose, search eigen value etc...).
  • Many new functionnalities in typographical way (equivallement, union, etc...)
  • Now you can directly change the aspect of the document without opening the color or the font palette.
  • It's possible now to add, divide (etc ...)the last two lines.
  • It's possible to apply a shadow to the text, it's useful in the case of a white font.
  • The substitution process is totally rewritten, now it's possible to do basic superscripting, like a:=3/2.
  • The Applescript management is rewritten too.
  • All elements are objects, who have properties (matrices, 2D/3D graphics, titles, variables, etc...).
  • The document is now scriptable too with the font management, color etc...
  • You can export a line through Applescript.
  • You can export all the document to a LaTeX or a pdf file..
  • You can export each lines to a specified image format (tiff/jpeg, etc...) trough the contextual menu. It's always possible with litteral expression too.
  • It's possible to add/substract lines.
  • It's possible to manage subscript.
  • It's possible to add in the document some titles. It's useful to find rapidly some information in the document.
  • Now it's possible through Applescript to do dynamic geometry.
  • Now I add a spotlight plug-in. Now it's easy to find expressions in your documents
  • I add too a quickLook plug-in.

Bugs

  • Many bugs corrections, the performance are better and the memory management too.

PHILIPPE LOGEL  For me it wasn't a bug !!!

But this issue is now corrected in the new beta 5 version.

It's now possible to manage the margins.

    Simple go to :

    - File->Page Setup

    - then select : Page attributes

    - you should see : iMathGeo

    - select this item

and manage the margins as you want in pixels.

If you want to send me directly your feedbacks or bugs report you can contact me through my web site.

BILL CLINTON  This is a really cool and well-done program. The recent version, 1.3, appears to be a complete re-write of the interface in Cocoa with extra goodness added.
