LEO SPILL  On the developers site he says of his app 'WindowFinder is easier and faster than Exposé' What an outrageous claim. At ten dollars a pop I think this deserves an award for the most useless non-freeware software made for a Mac. A real bona fide Dodo.

ANONYMOUS  rather than an excluded application option can we have the opposite as well.

eg, i only want safari to appear as i always have dozens of safari windows open, so a whitelist as well as a blacklist would be awesome

GAZMAN  What you are talking about is already available from the Window menubar in Safari (and nearly every other application). Also, Safari has the benefit of opening links into tabs instead of new windows.

ANONYMOUS  I wrote an earlier, positive review of WindowFinder, and I am writing another one here. Yes, Witch is free, it works fine, and it will suit many people's needs. But I cannot use it because I already have a host of keyboard configurations that make Witch impractical for me.

WindowFinder works just fine, and I have found the developer to be highly responsive to feature requests. This program is a viable option and should be given its due as such. If the developer asks for a shareware fee, so what? Shareware developers should be allowed to profit from their efforts if they so choose. The price for this program is not astronomical. If you don't want to buy it and use it, fine, but again, at least evaluate it on its own merits.

FARIBORZ AMIRSHAHI  I bought this nifty utility minutes after I first tried it on my iMac. Although it's a one-trick pony it does its job properly and efficiently. If you have tens of open windows on your screen then this the utility that serves you best. Fariborz Amirshahi - Verona (Italy).

HERMIT  Or you could just use Witch by the same author as Butler. It's free, and doesn't use any screen real estate. There are six different choices for what you can see based on all or front app, and whether or not the window is minimized. It's prefpane takes any key combination. And I'm not associated with either of these programs in any way other than using them...

ANONYMOUS  Well, I find it useful. I agree, it's pricey, but it's the kind of feature I'm looking for, and it's not something I've been able to find for Panther. It works, and it's come in handy for several things I do. Don't be quite so picky.

MAC NEW USER  This is a very cool features for Jaguar and earlier version of OS X where there's no Expose features. For Tiger and Panther, I prefer Expose and it's free. Since the requirement of this app is 10.4 and above, it's useless, at least to me.

Maybe it's good for those who can't take the experience of windows zooming in and out in Expose. Yes, they need this app. Put this point into your ad. I believe somebody might need this.

BRILDENLANCH  I have to say this doesn't seem very useful, and 10 bucks is a little too pricey.

Exposé anyone?
