CPILLOWBOOK  Estuve 24 horas pegando los subtitulos a una pelicula que dura una hora y media, es mucho, ademas enlentece todas las otras funciones del mac. No existe un programa para pegar subtitulos de forma mas rapida?

HORATIO  version one is going better,

nevertheless it's often crashing, you may save every line you're typing ;-)

And no means to export to avi file, miyu crashes or it does nothing.

Quicktime export is working well, but it's producing awful files (more than 1 GB for 9 minutes)

Mpeg streamclip is your friend …

CODEMAN38  Unfortunately, Miyu 1.0 RC4 is incompatible with OS X Leopard; the dialog box where one is supposed to select the source video just vanishes, making it impossible to continue.

Hoping this gets fixed as soon as possible... I *really* like this app; it's the best thing I've seen on Mac for generating SSA formatted subtitles.

CODEMAN38  Actually, never mind - hadn't tested it since upgrading to OS X 10.5.1 yesterday, and the OS upgrade seems to have fixed this annoyance. So anyone else having the same issue, update to 10.5.1.

CODEMAN38  Ignore my above comment; I spoke too soon. For some reason, the dialog box *did* show up for me once in 10.5.1, while it never showed up in 10.5.0. And now it's not showing up again. Definitely a bug in Miyu.

CODEMAN38  (Sorry for spamming this thread... but just trying to help anyone else with the same issues.)

Here's a very kludgy workaround to select a video for a new script under Leopard when the script settings dialog disappears:

Press Shift+Tab twice. (This moves the focus to the (now invisible) button to select the movie file.)

Press Space.

Select a movie and click OK.

Press Tab. (This moves the focus to the OK button.)

Press Space.

Press Cmd+S to save.

Press Cmd+W to close.

Re-open the Miyu file from wherever you saved it, and the window should appear with the correct video in it.

Hope this helps hold everyone over until RC5 is released...

SCATTERBRAINE  I can't export the files to any quicktime format... I can export to .srt but everything else makes the app crash. Can't really use the app like this...

****.

GCARCASS  I would give this software a full approval, but the problem that it's still too buggy and unstable. If the developers can fix it, for sure it will become a superb subtitler application.

ANONYMOUS  Will this application ever allow me to create and edit subtitle files for existing divx files?

I've got some files with srt files. I can edit them by hand, but the timecode is waaaaaaay off and I have to fix this. Switching back and forth between VLC and my text editor is tedious. It took me nearly half an hour to do a couple minutes' worth of video, about four lines of actual dialogue!

Miyu sounds like it could be very helpful, but it doesn't seem to want to open my files.

Do you have any plans to enable this sort of editing, or can you recommend another app which does?

Thanks!

ANONYMOUS  For QuickTime, and thus Miyu, to open Divx AVI files, download the 3ivx, DivX 5, and XviD components. However my luck with these have been rather hit or miss.

According to the support forum at the Miyu website, SRT support already expected for the next beta,

ANONYMOUS  I have been looking for a program that does exactly what this program does. It is AWESOME!!! This program comes in handy for your home made movies as well as any professional movie. Documenting your home made movies with text will help keep track as to when the movie was done, where it was done, the time it was done as well as anything else you can imagine. Kudos to the developer. Keep up the great work! Looking forward to future versions.
