DESCRIPTION
DoBeDo is a freeware Dashboard Widget for Mac OS X. The widget allows you to view, add, edit and delete iCal's todo items. Its tight integration with iCal make it an indispensable addition to any Dashboard lineup. You can display items from any one of your calendars, open multiple widgets each set to a different calendar, or list all of your tasks together in a single widget. If you are not an iCal user that's ok too, DoBeDo can still help you stay organized and on task.

TEKL  One thing is missing:

When a task is over the due date it should be marked red or with a different icon.

ASDFASD  DoBeDo is just a great tool! I love it, is the easiest, fastest and useful way to implement GTD.

I do not always have the Mail open, and I think most of us shouldn't since it distract us to much.

The dashboard is always there when you need it.

There is a beta version on the Bluehenley website that is working great with Leopard:

KAYEL  I was disappointed at first that DoBeDo wasn't available for Leopard, but now I have started using Mail for my ToDos, and now I couldn't care less that DoBeDo won't be available for 10.5. Mail works great and I always have it open anyway. One less process running on my machine.

BGOOD  When I upgraded to 3.0.2, DoBeDo stopped working with Leopard. I pulled 3.0.1 out of the trash and reinstalled it and it seems to work on the laptop screen. Whether it will sync correctly, I don't know.

DAC  I used DoBeDo widget daily as an integral tool to keep track of my tasks. Then I upgraded my Mac to Leopard and, guess what?.. DoBeDo only works with Tiger and the developer states "there are no plans to upgrade DoBeDo to work with Leopard. Development will continue, but only to support Tiger (10.4)." That's really too bad.

WPDV  This is the BEST 'to-do' widget I've ever used!

I have purchased and used many other applications/widgets, but have never been happy with one aspect or another. Either they didn't print a simple and clean looking to-do list, or they were not stable, or didn't integrate with iCal well. What I like the most is that I don't have to open iCal to add a to-do.

It's elegant, easy to use, integrates seamlessly with iCal, shows the due dates neatly next to the priority setting, and it prints out an excellent to-do list.

Absolutely awesome.

Thank you for such a wonderful widget!!!

FELIPE LUSTSURE  I definitely agree with previous poster. Alarm integration is the only thing keeping me from giving this widget a dime rating. However, what is the + thing that has no functionality except to pull down a blank window?

MCSMILEY  This is the most useful ToDo app I have used so far. The key advantages are:

1. It syncs with iCal so you can be sure your ToDos are always on your devices such as iPod, phone etc.

2. It is very accessible as it is a widget.

3. Despite being a widget, it has a lot of functions.

4. Despite being a widget, it is very sophisticated.

Nice touches:

1. Drop down calendars appear whenever you need to insert a date - this includes in the list view so changing the date is easy.

2. Clusters - you can create something called a cluster which is a group of tasks under one title that you do often: so if you have a weekly company meeting that requires say 10 preparatory activities which are always the same, you just make a new cluster and all the 10 tasks are included. No need to type them again and again.

3. You can email the list.

4. Just so nice and easy to use.

5. It is FREE!

Wish List:

Alarms for important to dos. Granted checking the list is very easy because it is a widget so it is just there but sometimes, if you are thick like me, it is hard to remember to check so being able to access alarms would be great. A lot to ask I know from a free app but it is such a great app already the developer must enjoy tinkering :-)
