MyResolution is pretty simple. It displays your monitor’s resolution. It also contains a simple script to open up the Displays preference pane. This script works with the default setting for showing/hiding Dashboard (F12). MyResolution contains instructions for changing this setting if you have remapped that function. Just control-click on the widget and choose “Show Package Contents” to find the instructions.
Changed the AppleScript for opening the Displays preference pane to a shell script. This speeds things up a touch, reduces the file size a smidge, and makes changing the assigned keyboard shortcut easier.
ANONYMOUS Does what it says it does, nice shortcut to checking and changing the system display resolution. As a designer who also does the occasional presentation, I think I'll find this useful.
Anyways, it's FREE and you don't have to load it if you don't want to! (Version 1.1)
ANONYMOUS what a completely useless idea. can anyone tell my WHY would you want this? instead of just release pieces of crap like this to get a developer's name out there, developers should be concentrating on products that we actually need and would use. (Version 1.1)
EIRIK This widget would be useful if it could be used to switch resolution (and colour) without accessing the Monitors control panel. Right now it does not make anything easier. (Version 1.0)
