Command & Conquer Generals: Zero Hour... The first expansion pack for the critically acclaimed Command & Conquer™ Generals challenges players to square off against the world’s most elite commanders for battlefield domination. Even the most experienced C&C Generals veteran must learn new strategies and tactics to take full advantage of -- and learn to defend against -- the next generation of the world’s most lethal weapons.
BILLROBE1964 I have a Mac PPC and bought a Mac Intel macbook as well so i could play network games with my children. Sadly, the Aspyr Command and Conquer will NOT network between PPC and Intel based macs, which means I have wasted my money on this game. (Version 1.0.4)
MCSNUGGLESAIDS I was slightly premature with my first post, Zero Hour I thought was the buggy one, but in actual fact both games suffer from a bad port. The game will frustratingly quit during 6 or 8 player skirmishes.... so it begs my question what the hell is the point in playing a war game that wil, quit like this. Imagine the embarrasment of having one of the currently fastest computers in the world (intel core 2 duo 24inch maxed out, 3 gig ram, 512 meg graphics) and have to explain to online pals that I exited the game because of a system crash. Fuck generals, and Aspyr. I prefered this game when it was slow under rosetta. Try beta testing before a release next time guys. (Version 1.0.4)
MCSNUGGLESAIDS This is a terrible release, yes It's a bit faster. I'm running a maxed out imac, 24inch, intel 2 core cuo, 3 gig ram, 256 mb 7600 GT, etc, no other apps running, and the game will crash unexpectedly during gameplay. Absolutely rubbish binary release to be honest, It'd be as slow as a snail when playing 8 player skirmish under Rosetta emulation, but it would never crash. Be warned. (Version 1.0.4)
DARYLF2 This is a terrific update; not being able to play PowerPC users is disappointing but better than not having an Intel-native version! It runs amazingly smoothly on my Mac Pro now at 1600x1200 with graphics options max'd. I played two games with no problems, and it was faster and smoother than ever! Kudos to Aspyr for making this a free update! (Version 1.0.4)
PAGUCA wake up ! nobody is playing on intel in gameranger!! any usefull brain with intel will install windows in their mac and play it against thausand players from pc world.
developpers kill the game with this update. intel users are now gone. (Version 1.0.4)

BKNOTE I've read several user reviews that claim Command & Conquer: Generals was running slow on intel macs. Did you experience this and if so did the patch released on 12/6/06 fix this problem? (Version 1.0.4)

DARYLF2 paguca, I'd rather drop the game than install Windows on my Mac Pro.
bknote, yes I was experiencing the slowness before, as C&C:G:ZH was running under the Rosetta PPC-Intel emulator. This new version is a Universal Binary, and runs at full speed (very VERY fast) on Intel Macs. (Version 1.0.4)

PAGUCA LOL, intel users are not able to play against ppc users, and they call that universal binaries.... (Version 1.0.4)
