NEO979  You don't even need to use crons if you don't want to - just set an iCal alarm to fire an AppleScript.

CHARLES TETON  I've been using this for a few years on a PowerBook G4 server that I have on 24/7. It does just what it says, in my case restarts at 6.00 am and all the apps open up via Apple Preferences in the Login Items. About the cost. My time is worth more that the asking price so its worth it to me. Hope this helps.

ANONYMOUS  And the reason I'd want to pay $10 for this when I can do the same thing for free with a cron job (yes, with a free GUI, too, CronniX) would be what, exactly?

NEO979  Yes, or you could even do it with iCal and AppleScript without adding any software at all.

ANONYMOUS  Fine for if you only need the startup.

iBezz sets start up, shut down, restart, sleep and wake. Plus will run scripts or apps at start up.

So, for example, while you are on vacation your Mac can restart, grab your mail and shutdown everyday.
