DPERUGINI  "Google Maps is already the default service used for map lookups in Address Book."

That is true, but the built-in service only provides a link to the Google map ('Map this Address'). 'Google Maps Plugin 2.7.1' also provides the following services:

    - Google Directions (which lets you plug in a second address for directions)

    - Locate in Google Earth (launches Google Earth version of map)

    - Google Preferences (a whole bunch of useful additions, such as displaying phone number on the map listing).

    - Google Map for [Address Book Entry] - whatever Preference options you set are available with this option. If you option to use the built-in plain vanilla 'Map This Address' option, it's still there, which is very thoughtful of the Google people.

SESQUIPEDALIAN  On both my Macs, one running Leopard and and the other running Snow Leopard, Google Maps is already the default service used for map lookups in Address Book.

While the developer deserves kudos for bringing this functionality to earlier versions, I don't think there is any need for this plugin going forward.

MACSOLU  Mr. Developer (Brian Toth), is this true? Is there any need or advantage to installing/using this for those of us using 10.5.x or higher?

REDNAIL  I wish it work with Australian addresses. I don't think it's the plugin's fault though. I think it has more to do with Google Maps.

AQUAX  Works wonderfully, without any problems whatsoever. Only request would be for a simpler install. I can do it with no problems, but I would surmise it would be a bit more difficult for someone like my mother, who has limited "manual installation" skills.

FIREFALL  Simple to use, and very effective. I wouldn't be surprised if apple "borrowed" this functionality in future versions of Address Book.

I've had no issues with this plugin using version 2.3 and 10.4.3. Also to note there don't appear to be any conflicts with the built-in Map Quest functionality.

PAUL  I think this plug-in breaks the MapQuest functionality of my Address Book. It's broken in two accounts on the same computer. The plug-in is installed 'for all users' (in /Libary/Address Book Plug-Ins/). When I try to get the MapQuest map of a certain contact, nothing happens. Anyone the same problem? Does the dev know this?

Apart from this, a great plug-in! Thank you!

NITEWING98  I don't notice it breaking the original Mapquest functionality. It still works for me on OS 10.3.9.

    Good plugin, recommended.
