EDITOR NOTES
Package Tracker has been discontinued.
DESCRIPTION
Package Tracker is a Dashboard widget that displays the shipping status of FedEx, DHL, and UPS packages.

You can see at a glance the current status of your package, when it will be delivered, and the most recent scan activity. If it has been delivered, Package Tracker lights up to attract your attention. Click on the status and your browser will go right to the carrier’s tracking page.

SCOTT_R  Agree with what e_commerce wrote, and a thanks for the tip: Delivery Status is much more polished and useful. Package Tracker only tracks UPS, DHL, and FedEx, and it seems that at least one one of those is always broken (usually UPS). Delivery Status checks far more, and can even check Amazon (and other) package status automatically, *and* you can track multiple packages at once.

The choice is a no-brainer.

LEE325  I have tried this widget and never been able to have ups tracking work, now with this update it is. It seems its not for some others. I have noticed that ups tracking numbers now have spaces in them, that you can see when you track from there website. Try entering your tracking numbers with them, and see if it works for you.

INSOMNIS  The package tracking systems do require frequent updates, but this little widget still rocks for my constant, neurotic tracking needs.

BTW - The download is now correctly 2.1.9 and UPS does work again.

OLDCORPSE  I loved this widget (see my earlier review)... but now I've removed it from my dashboard. In the past few weeks it has completely stopped working. That's 3 versions now, including this one 2.1.8. It doesn't work for Fedex or UPS (haven't had a DHL shipment in a few weeks, so I can't say). I put in a tracking number, and the response is ALWAYS "Tracking number may be incorrect, or the tracking site layout changed." Well, the absurd thing is, if you CLICK on the widget it will take you to the actual page of UPS or Fedex with the perfectly valid tracking number info displayed. Sorry, it's broken, and it's gone from my iBook.

BUZZARD  The last two Fedex shipments (international) that I have tried to track with Package Tracker have not worked. Package Tracker is saying "Package number may be incorrect or the tracking site layout changed". I know the tracking numbers are good since they track in the Fedex site. I wonder if something has changed at fedex.com that has broken Package Tracker?

OLDCORPSE  Nice. I order things all the time, so this is useful. Unfortunatly, a lot of the time I'm tracking stuff from USPS and it would be so useful to have that in this widget... maybe there's some technical reason why it can't be implemented, since I can't believe the develper didn't think of it.
