Dash Monitors is a Dashboard widget that displays a graphic summary of your system resource usage. It shows what percentage of CPU time is being used, the amount of memory in use, the speed at which the machine is transferring or receiving data over the network, and the speed the machine is reading and writing to local disk volumes. Dash Monitors is great for users who would like to run a system monitor but do not want to sacrifice any screen real-estate while working.
SYHARRIS There are lots of system monitors out there, many of them for free. I can see no reason to pay $10 for this one. So it's a widget, big deal! But then, widgets have never excited me. In fact, I can live quite happily without them.
I tried it out and wasn't impressed. Oh, it's all right, but nothing special. Even if were free, I can't see why I'd choose this over any of the others. (Version 1.3u)
ANONYMOUS what's the point of a system monitor that isn't always visible? just the act of activating dashboard is going to cause cpu/network/disk activity (Version 1.2)
JIMW Additionally you cannot monitor the foreground program, since by definition the foreground program becomes the widget. The major practical use of the product that has real value seems to be memory usage, and their are plenty of other free products for that. (Version 1.2)

GORDY Umm, this is not freeware. It will stop working in 30 days, unless it's paid for.
Works fine here, I used MenuMeters before Tiger, and this is a great replacement--were it free. After the trial period, I'm going back to the --free--MenuMeters. (Version 1.1)
CHAOSCLOWNZ I was able to get it to show up in dashboard properly, but it did not want to work. In graphic view, it shows nothing, like it is loading but never loads (I'm on a 2.3ghz DP G5... shouldn't take long to load, I gave it 5 minutes). Another time, it froze in the settings menu (not so much froze, but wouldn't spin back around to the user view). Maybe the next version will work..... (Version 1.1)
CLAIR I copy the wdgt file into ~/Library/Widgets and it does not show up in the list of Widgets installed. I have downloaded the zip file multiple times to assure I didn't have a corrupt archive before unzipping and copying into the Widgets folder.

MIKE PIATEK-JIMENEZ I'll look into this, but I think it might be a bug in Apple's Dashboard code. I've installed widgets into ~/Library/Widgets and it would take awhile before Dashboard would finally pick them up and display them in the bottom-bar. Double-clicking on the Widget file itself should work fine though. (Version 1.1)

BIKO SUNFLOWER It works great for me, I placed the widget in ~/Library/Widgets and it immediately showed up in the list and I haven't had any problems :) (Version 1.2)
