    ***½.

STARMANTA  This program is very slick, but I find it hard to imagine it being worth the price the developer is asking to anyone, short of companies. At £10, I'd buy it in a heartbeat; £30 is up there; £100, not a chance.

As to the software, it generates very nice-looking, well-behaved, AJAX'd out, interactive pages. Searching is live and instant (albeit limited in the demo); AIM screen names and such pop open properly; there's even a listing of upcoming birthdays. My one suggestion software-wise would be to allow more customization; themes, possibly options to have addresses link to Google Maps or some such, that kind of thing.

And lower that friggin price tag.

TURINGART  There is generally no problem with standard web servers. The goal regarding our solution is to provide a 'virtually no configuration' application.

If we would use Apache, our clients are forced to not only drop the application to some directory, but most likely need to configure Appache some way.

We may ship an OS X Apache compatible CGI too, but this is currently not available.

    Thanks for the hint,

    Stefan
