You want to display the song currently played by iTunes in the menu bar? You want to open, play, pause and quit iTunes from the menu bar? You even want to search for the lyrics of the song currently played?

COLOURGRAVITY This is almost exactly what I've been looking for. The only change I'd welcome to make it perfect would be to show nothing at all in the menu bar except when iTunes is actually playing (rather than leaving the icon or app name up there after iTunes quits, as it does at the moment). ANONYMOUS Better off using an app called 'iController' - it's free and scrolls for you - couple that with 'Dock Art' and it's iTunes heaven. (Version 1.5)
ANONYMOUS what's the point in using this on OS X 10.4 or even 10.3 for that matter?
Tiger has it's own iTunes controller dashboard widget which does all this. And if you're not on Tiger, you can simply use the slim controller window in iTunes itself...
