DESCRIPTION
ShowMacster is an extension to Apple's iChat which enables you to stream pictures, QuickTime movies and live screen captures during a video conference.
By adding a drawer to the video chat window, it is seamlessly integrated into iChat. You can even import a collection of your favorite pictures, icons or movies to show them instantly. By pressing a button or keyboard shortcut ShowMacster will switch from the current iSight video stream to the assigned media.

ShowMacster not only enables you to show slideshows of your pictures or video clips but also to share your actions on the screen to your opponent.

With ShowMacster's "Sketchboard" tool you are able to draw right inside the current streaming picture. Drawings (on a blank sheet or any photo) are updated live as ShowMacster streams any changes instantly.

  • stream photos, movies, sounds and screen captures during your iChat video conference
  • add files per drag & drop
  • start slideshows instantly with Quickdrop.
  • draw directly on streaming pictures
  • create as many categories as you need to manage your media files.
  • assign individual keyboard shortcuts to every single media clip
  • use ShowMacster right within iChat
  • includes English, German and French localizations

PLEASANT SOFTWARE  No, Chax and ShowMacster work fine together. (Tested on Leopard 10.5.2 with ShowMacster v1.9 & Chax 2.1.2b1)

PLEASANT SOFTWARE  I've just managed to get ShowMacster v1.9 up and running on Mac OS 10.5 (Leopard)! There are some minor glitches I have to look after and I have to do some further tests, but ShowMacster's future definitely looks much brighter right now :)

    Stay tuned for updates...

DAN.TINIANOW  A very useful and fun program. I'd wished I could send other video through iChat, and although another program had the limited functionality of sending a live feed of your desktop, ShowMacster is MUCH more useful. Well worth the money, and a sensible approach to licensing -- your iChat ID is registered, and then you can use it on any Mac with that account...

The only downside? For some reason, I can never remember the name. To the developer: I suggest maybe change the name to "ChatCast" or "ChatCaster." (But give me credit somewhere for suggesting the name, so I can feel like I'm cooler than I am)

JONATHAN  This little app is awesome! I've searched the web a couple of times now for such a program and now the features are built in right into my standard chat application.

Showmacster does what it promises. It lets me import my pictures and movies with drag & drop and presenting them with one click or hotkey. You should have seen my friend's face when I sent him some pictures for the first time... The screen capture feature is just stunning. As I need this from time to time, it really makes Apple's Remote Desktop dispensable for me.

    Great work!
