MusicBox is an handy database for your music files. If you have a large collection of them, it will help you to organize and keep them in order:
Find on which CD or DVD you stored your tracks in a split second.
Organize your tracks into as many categories and subcategories as you need.
Read and edit the meta data information of the tracks (e.g. ID3 tags, iTunes AAC tags...). Music Box supports several formats: MP3, AAC, MP4, Ogg Vorbis, Monkey's Audio, FLAC.
Identify unknown songs through the integrated MusicBrainz support.
Search for related titles on international Amazon sites or on CDDB.
Export your data in HTML, text or XML format.
Tracks can be grouped by artist, album, genre, volume or category.
Universal Application: runs natively both on PPC and Intel based Macs.
RICHARD BLUMBERG Downloaded and ran on Leopard; couldn't get past the first dialog box (This is your first run; do you want to create a database?). Had to Force Quit.
SIMONETELLINI Version 1.8 fixes this "first run" problem. (Version 1.8)

ANONYMOUS When I downloaded it I got just a document file, but I added .sit to the end and it unstuffed just fine. Try that if the download doesn't work. (Version 1.0b2)
ANONYMOUS It looks like maybe you have a resource fork in the app, that isn't getting ZIPped, because I downloaded it and it showed up only as a document after unzipping. Try putting it on a .dmg first. (Version 1.0b2)
BOB FACKER II How do I change the file type from zip to .dmg? (Version 1.0b2)

LAURENT BAUMANN i've been waiting a simple beat box like that for so long... ok it's beta and not really full featured, but it's a really good start.
You are able to create a 4/4 rythm with ease. Allow us to create 3/4, 7/8 and other patterns, export them to .mid and .aiff, clean up the GUI (why do you use non-standard scrollbar and buttons ?) and you got an app i'll use for a looong time ;)
BOB FACKER I downloaded and opened the file with the expander, but when I open the folder I can't open the program, it asks what program I should use to open it. Why is this happening? (Version 1.0b2)
