DESCRIPTION

Sizerox is the simple way to resize, rename, crop, rotate and watermark hundreds or thousands of images with a single Drag-and-Drop using presets.

Mostly when you want to email your friends pictures, post images on your website, or upload them to your iPod or iPhone, you recognize that the images are too big. You need to reduce them, but resizing and renaming images takes too long. Why spend valuable time altering each image by hand?

Sizerox:

  • Resizes your "JPEG", "TIFF", "PNG" or "PSD" images and saves them as "JPEG". You can easily resize, rename, crop, rotate and watermark your images from your digital camera or scanner to send them with e-mails, to use them on the web or to upload them to your iPod or to your iPhone.
  • Uses Apple Quicktime to save the resized images, so the quality of the resized images is always high.
  • Supports Drag-and-Drop. Drop as many image files as you want or a folder that contains hundreds or thousands of images to the main window as well as to the application icon to resize the images.
  • When you drop images on the Sizerox application icon, Sizerox will start up and will immediately begin the job. Sizerox can quit automatically after the job is finished.
  • In order to have different settings for different jobs, you can use a preset (pre-defined setting) for each job.
  • You can use the powerful Renamer engine to rename the images while resizing them.
  • Offers several possibilities to resize your pictures.
  • The Crop function sets your images more into the foreground.
  • Can rotate images to the left or to the right while resizing.
  • Can create a Watermark that will ensure the security of your images.

WHAT'S NEW
Version 1.3.4:
  • Added the possibility to change the font style of the watermark.
  • Added a font style menu into the watermark tab, to choose the font style plain, bold, italic and bold+italic.
  • Minor changes.
REQUIREMENTS
Mac OS X 10.3 or later (Mac OS X 10.x should work too).

JUSTIES  I am very happy with Sizerox.

I started testing it since version 1.2, and with time I bought a license.

It became with time just a perfect tool for me.

It works perfectly and as described.

I get always an email if there is a new version. Good service!

SYHARRIS  There doesn't seem to be an easy way to update from an earlier version of Sizerox. The only version of 1.2.9 on the developer's website is the demo version which can't be changed into a fully working one.

I emailed the developer about this issue and included my serial # (I had purchased Sizerox a while back). He then provided me with a URL for a working download. Quite a cumbersome approach to getting an updated version. Makes no sense whatsoever.

If anyone's found an easier way to get an update download, please post it here.

    FREDDUCKER  Not too bad.

Don't expect to use it fully in a free trial mode, this demo version will watermark anything the program creates.

I'd say it might be worth paying for it if you need to work on a lot of pictures all the time, but if it's something you need to do once a year the fact that it has shareware restrictions with be a no-go (and if that is your situation you could consider using ImageWell).

It's otherwise very stable and quite easy of use, with an intuitive and interface that does the job pretty well.

BOBBYKNOX  What this app does is very useful. But its lacking big time on the user interface size. I just stumbled across ResizeMe as a nice alternative with a mac-ish feel.

THEMTB  The only reason it does not get 5 stars is because it deletes EXIF data. I really need that data to be put into the new file. Still worth $10
