TIDESHARK I don't write many reviews, but Kitty Spangles Solitaire (KSS) deserves one. It's an excellent solitaire game with all the major games including Klondike, Freecell, and Spider with plenty of variations for each. It's graphics are nice, and the window resizes brilliantly. It auto-saves your game, so you can quit any time and come back whenever. The statistics are neat. I've (supposedly) played over 200 hours. It's nice that some game variations are longer than others. Basic instructions are included in-game for each variation. Autocompletion works as intended and saves you a bunch of "housework" when you've essentially already won. It updates via Sparkle too. Annoyances: the time counts down even when KSS isn't the active window, only one card style (cartoonish, would prefer one or two more to choose from in the preferences), and wish the new hand button and keyboard shortcut would display a (optional) warning. Definitely worth the cost. Hours of solid entertainment, way more than those silly arcade games (e.g., Bejeweled). Casual Mac gaming at its finest. I just wish they made a Hearts game too. Two thumbs up!

CORPSECORPS With a name like "Kitty Spangles" i thought it was going to be nauseatingly cute. It's not. This is one of the most clean, simple, polished UI's i've seen. A couple of cartoon characters on the face cards are of no consequence. I like the lack of so-called "vegas scoring". Needs a few minor tweaks to winning and scoring info, but NOT to the appearance or function. | |

IGUANARAMA Excellent game... I love finding games like this which are so polished. Now it has all the game variations, I think that addresses a previous commenters concern (I play tons of Sea Towers).

ANONYMOUS To the developers: I like this particular version of solitaire...BUT... could you change the visuals to be less "doll-like" and more mature and gender neutral. And ditch all the fuss every time we get 4 ace's. Too much bs. Thanks. Dr Jim. San Antonio.

"Doll Like"? It's got one of the best thought out, most polished interfaces anywhere. With a name like Kitty Spangles i thought it was going to be terminally cute, but with this level of excellence, a coupla cartoon characters doesn't matter much. What's this "gender neutral" nonsense anyway?

REALLY STUPID GUY IN MASSACHUSETTS i will not pay $20.00 for this addiction with all of the free solitaires out there. i need to get a life. is this what it comes down to - playing solitaire in a flophouse? solitaire - the socially accepted addiction. we are all morons. i am shoving the monitor out the 4th floor window.

NICOLE SCULLY I've been looking for a great solitaire game on the Mac - and this is it! While it doesn't do any variations (I wish it did), but what it does it does well and with pretty graphics too. Its got some great features like autosave and scoring, but I wish it would you let you reshuffle the deck when you're stuck and that kind of thing. Now all my pc-using friends get jealous of me when I play this on my iBook. | |

WEAVUS Very nice. They have done a great job with the game engine and its very slick and pretty. The whole characterisation is good and its easily the best card game engine I've seen. However, I would like to see a lot more done to the actual game though as there are no variations or options for the solitare game itself. Even a simple 1 or 3 card draw choice is missing. I'm sure future versions of this will rectify this but for now $20 is a little steep.
