DESCRIPTION
GtkRadiant... Yes, here it is! You can now edit maps for your favorite games on your Mac: Quake 3, Start trek Voyager: Elite Force, Soldier of Fortune II: Double Helix, Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast, Jedi Knight Jedi Academy, Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory, Doom 3 (yes!)
These applications were made by Eridan to make GtkRadiant's installation easier with a little help from the rest of the MacRadiant community: http://www.redsaurus.net/gtkradiant/
Includes Radiant 1.4, too:
Radiant 1.4 Is to be used for all games except Doom3
Radiant 1.5 Is a little buggy (beta) so you might want to only use it for Doom3 unless it has an advantage you really need. (It has some)
Don't for get to read the documentation!
WHAT'S NEW
Very fast installation, mac-tastic, all game packs pre-installed, Aqua Gtk Theme, Radiant 1.5 added (New: Doom 3 mapping), latest version of q3map2 (to compile maps), extensive documentation with Radiant learning tutorials, no sw folder needed, no interferences with Fink and no admin privileges needed to install.

HALODEMO002 Could you make a version that doesn't require X11. I have X11 open and I open the app. It stays there for about a minute and then closes. (Version 1.5)

TEH1GHOOL I am using Tiger. (Version 1.5)
| Aug 4 2005 |
1) put your Tiger Installation DVD inside your DVD-ROM 2) launch the Terminal application 3) type the following line (quotes and spaces included): open "/Volumes/Mac OS X Install DVD/System/Installation/Packages" 4) a finder window should appear with lots of packages in it 5) double-click X11User.pkg and follow the instructions That will install X11. After that installation you can be sure that when you open Radiant, X11 will also automatically open and eventually the randiant window. (Version 1.5)

TEH1GHOOL There's a problem. After installing it it doesn't open up. It's basically a disabled text editor with the correct application name in the menu bar. I'm using Tiger. Brand new computer, and i have X11 installed as far as i can tell. I went through the installation. (Version 1.5)

Please note that X11 is on the Panther install CD 3. You don't need to download it. Just select Customize in the OS X Installer to see it. (Version 1.5)

DYNAMITE Those games are too modified to be edited by GtkRadiant. If ever MohRadiant gets ported, then yes. (Version 1.5)

ANONYMOUS No, Call of Duty duty is too modified to be edited by GtkRadiant. But if you wait until the next installer (soon) It will include Radiant 1.5 and will be able to map for much more games than just Quake3 And RTCW without installing game packs manually. (Version 1.4)

ANONYMOUS Very nice work! The installer works fine, just make sure you do not have yet fink installed. The program seems to work fine but only big problem is the freelook (right upper camera view window) that does not work when right clicking in it. (or I am missing something?) If any developper can help this problem out of the way, GTKradiant can be used on a mac with as much ease as on a linux machine :-) Thanks to dynamite for keeping this project alive!
