Gee! is a notifier for Atom Feeds that sits in your menubar. It was specifically written to read the Atom feed provided by Google for their wonderful Gmail service. Their feed lists the number of new emails a user has in their inbox. The icon in the menubar displays the number of unread messages inside a lovely blue icon. Gee! can be configured to play a sound when new mail arrives and rotate its icon to grab your attention. New email information appears in the drop-down menu. This is all configurable from a preferences window.
Gee! will not only work with Gmail's atom feed but with any atom feed. Gee! will just show the current number of entries in the feed. The menu subject and email listings may not appear depending on the feed.
Includes Growl Support.

MUGGSY I use Gee on both my home and work computer. Both run system 10.3.9, my home box is my trusty old B&W G3 (upgraded quite a bit) and my work box is a G4 Digital Audio. Gee checks the mail just fine on both boxes, but on the G4 I cannot access the any of the menu bar functions.
I love the program! It's a great boon to those of us who haven't yet upgraded to 10.4. (Version 1.1.2)
AMCAN12 Finally there is binary version (for Intel Mac's) on developer's site.
But it would be great if we could set in preferences which browser should open Gmail. For those of us who have more than 1 Gmail account it would be a blessing. (Version 1.1.2)

PALOCHI Whoops. Never mind. Just saw the reply to change the Atom URL to https://mail.google.com/mail/feed/atom. Works perfect now! Thanks! (Version 1.1.2)
