DESCRIPTION
OpenSSL File Utilities was created with the intention to bring strong cryptography to average computer users. Although this is only a beta version, it supports all of the OpenSSL block ciphers. It is merely a GUI front-end to the command-line program "openssl".

  • AES Encryption/Decryption added
REQUIREMENTS
Mac OS X 10.0 or later, OpenSSL (installed by default), aesutil (installed with Fink, download for free at http://fink.sourceforge.net/).

    SHADOWUSER  If people want to encrypt stuff in Mac OS X why don't they just learn how to do it in the Terminal its easy.

    MARTIN ALLERT  The only featured encrpytion types are those already being cracked in no time: base64, bf, cast, des, 3des, idea, rc2, rc4, rc5. For instance, where is AES/Rijndael?

    BILL  Researching 3des, you mention it is cracked. Can you supply a reference? I don't believe it has been - did you intend to say "des" instead of "3des"?

    bzip2 got this down to 800KB rather than 2.4MB.
