SIDETRACKED  Very simple, very fast, very nice.

I use both this and Quicksilver. Quicksilver is obviously a lot richer in options, but also takes longer to learn to use, and can be slower and less effecient when you simply want to open an app it hasn't 'learned' abbreviations for yet.

It's a taste thing. I rely on Quicksilver more and more, but my wife, who values clean simplicity more than bells and whistles has happily stuck with ABC Launch as her default launch app. (The fact is, either is wonderful as a free app).

ANONYMOUS  Thumb up to developer for the effort, but before I noticed this app, I was weighing pros and cons between LaunchBar and QuickSilver.

The former is the one I use on a daily basis, QS may be quality software, and it is, however perpetually in beta stage.

I'm happy with LS, and still working on Panther.

ERIC BRUNSTAD  Very nice, but its interface is too utilitarian. For example, QuickSilver has a black interface that seems to flow with Mac OS X's system.

I've created an an app called iCaddy (www.mindsprockets.com) which functions similarly to this. It uses a menu-based interface instead, however. You might benefit from including themes in your app as iCaddy does.

SEMI-AWESOME  the window is too large for this program to be useful. if the window resized automatically as new results because available, it might be a program i would use.

AET  An automatically resizing window would probably chug CPU cycles... keeping the window as put would be better.
