Version 5.2.0-6:
  • This driver fully supports Mac OS X v.10.6 (Snow Leopard).
  • The “Remove Tablet” utility now contains an option to back up your preferences and to restore the backed up preferences at a later time.
    • To back up your preferences, select Go – Applications – Wacom Tablet – Remove Wacom Tablet. After the utility launched, select “Back-up ...”, choose the name and location of the backup file, and click OK.
    • To restore your previously saved preferences, select Go – Applications – Wacom Tablet – Remove Wacom Tablet. After the utility launched, select “Restore ...”, browse to the location of your backup file and select it, and click on OK. Note: the name of this utility will be updated in an upcoming driver release.
  • A number of smaller bug fixes and improvements were implemented as well.

    ILIKETRASH  Based on my experience and the comments on this page, it looks like Wacom is officially in the crapware category. Buggy software and nobody at the company is doing anything about it.

    MACLOVER1.1  Seems this driver works if you ALSO install the Wacom tablet Driver (Intuos/pro etc). This is weird... but at least now my Bamboo works again..

    MUSI  I'm experiencing total computer lockups (occurring particularly when in Safari) as well as non-consistent response from the tablet.

    VERYVITO  I've never had issues with a Wacom driver, but this one seems riddled with bugs. Dropped connections are the best part. Worse is that the pen tip no longer triggers rollovers in Safari (among other apps), or acts anything like you would expect it to.

    On several occasions, I've had to switch to a mouse just to stop the cursor from constantly being in "drag mode."

    Going to try to uninstall and reinstall the previous version now.

    MACLOVER1.1  IF IT AIN'T BROKE DON'T FIX IT:

    DO NOT INSTALL if you are fine with the previous version, this one seems flawed and buggy at least on my system... I lose the Stylus connection quite a bit (to the point that I have to force shut down.. as I have no mouse to save the day) so I am downgrading.. which is upgrading in a sense lol

    TEKL  The driver does not work well with non-English keyboard layouts. So the Express keys canÂ’t be used to send umlauts what would be useful for Pixelmator.

    LOKHEED  Unfortunately the only way to be certain if you don't have crap is to succeed the install and then uninstall it using the utility.

    Other than that, you can dig through your system in the likely places but that's just painful (and annoying).

    HORATIO  As I have some problems with 4.7.9-2 driver and my graphire2 tablet, I tried this one despite the specs (graphire3 required) and it seems to work better on X.3.7 :-)

    RYAN  Driver failed to detect or operate a Graphire3 tablet on a dual G5 with OS X 10.3.7. Did a clean install but no luck.
