ANONYMOUS  "Can't convert DJ sayings" error under 10.4, Tibook 667, iTunes 5.1.

Great idea - more documentation?

ANONYMOUS  Thanks to the developer for fixing the bug under 10.2.8!

Now just give us the ability to randomize the speech rate and volume between some limits (to make the vocie a little less predictable and robotic) as well as edit the DJ sayings and this will be perfect.

Time to save up for an iShuffle!

ANONYMOUS  Version 1.0 worked (G4 667 PB 10.2.8) - 2.0 replies:

AppleScript Error

Finder got an error: Parameter error. (-50)

And sets iTunes volume to almost zero.

Great idea - could make an iShuffle a great idea since it will tag each track with an audio announce, thus lack of a screen becomes a feature.

ANONYMOUS  UGH!!! When I first opened the program it asks me where my Internet Explorer program is. The whole idea of using a MAC is to break free entirely from MICROCRAP! It would not close, so I had to force quit the program. I have no MICROCRAP anything on my computer so I will not be using this program.

ANONYMOUS  Hi,

Radio Days is not supposed to open internet explorer. I probably found the reason why you have this problem. Try to download the version again, I patched it.

ANONYMOUS  Works fine for tunes on the computer. Doesn't work even for internet radio stations that send song titles over the stream and which are visible in iTunes. I listen to a lot of Internet radio now so this isn't going to be much use to me until it can read me the artist/title of the song on the radio, because it's those songs I really don't know, since they aren't in my library.

ANONYMOUS  An update to my own review. The reason I think it is reasonable to expect Radio Days to read the correct Internet radio stream song title is because I also use Synergy, and it perfectly displays the full artist/title/stream station name in a floater just as a new track starts streaming. Somehow Synergy is able to display it, so it must also be possible for Radio Days to speak it. Thanks.

CHRIS MESSINA  This looks like a great idea, but I can imagine that hearing "That was..." or whatever after every song would become pretty annoying after a couple hours (if not a couple songs!).

I would love to see you compile a list of DJ "sayings" that DJ's use to announce songs and then draw from this list at random when announcing songs. You could even vary the amount of information spoken, sometimes listing just the artist and track, other times listing the album, year or whatever other information is available.

KARL BECKER  A very good idea. Have a list of sayings that the user can editable, with little + and - buttons to add or subtract introductions.

And if a song from the same album comes up two (or more) times in a row, then the album would not have to be said each time. Same with the artist.

I hope Apple puts in functionality like this into iTunes once Tiger comes out - it's a no-brainer for usefulness, and with new voices in Tiger it could be really nice.

KARL BECKER  Awesome idea! As said before, I'd love to be able to change the voice/rate/pitch.

I can't wait for the new high-quality voices in Mac OS X Tiger - they will make a program this like really really valuable.

Wonderful idea, and wonderful icon, too.
