Newspeak is a full-featured, Cocoa-based and Aqua-compliant IRC client. Features multiple server connections, file transfer support, window transparency, rules-based message filtering, text-to-speech, and more.
KIDDAILEY Has a lot of potential, but it's still much too buggy for daily use. The interface is REALLY nice, and I hope to see this get more well-rounded. (Version 1.5)
MACD Now too bad but I'd say its "chat" functionality is pretty far from perfect for me.
The biggest question is: how about text encodings support? At this age, almost every IRC app got such support. Not all IRC channels are available in English ;)
I'd also would like to have text input field somehow integrated into the chat window. Of course all these drawers are cool but drawers are kind of for displaying information you want to see may be sometimes, definitely not all the time. Putting the text input field in a program created specially for typing text messages into a drawer seems a bit strange for me.
I'm staying with Conversation for the time being. (Version 1.0)
ANONYMOUS You could be in a moderated chanel and not have voice. The drawer could close then (Version 1.0)

SHAWN C. BLOWER I don't understand the point in being in the channel if you can't type. Seems rather pointless to me. I guess I'm strange, I get on IRC to chat, not just view what other people have to say. (Version 1.0)

PHAT GOK This software is NOT free at all. EULA grants a one year trial, after which paid registration is required. (Version 1.0)
