The Satimage osax is a Scripting Addition, i.e. a plug-in for AppleScript.

    TIM BATES  This is the best (only?) way to do regular expression parsing in applescript and will pay for itself (free!!) each day for that alone.

    A really nice set of scripting tools, which has worked flawlessley since OS9 (remember that?) and continues to be updated regularly.

    highly recommended.
