MORPHER  My MacBook on OS X.6.2 started behaving oddly. Some programs (Eudora, Personal Organizer, Mike's Cards Lite) started to be flakey. Boot and shutdown times were getting longer. Then I installed the updates for iTunes (which I almost never use, but I like to keep the versions up to date) and something else (forgotten what it was, but it was in Software Update), and I was in serious trouble. Eudora crashing, Personal Organizer wouldn't launch, EarthDesk wouldn't launch, Mike's Cards was taking seconds to move a card, after launching at a stagger. Booting up took forever, shutdown took minutes.

Many runs of Disk Utility made no difference.

I ran Maintenance 1.2.5 which told me that I had entered an incorrect password (I hadn't) but when I clicked on "Execute" it worked. I ran the default maintenance. Then I shut down for a few minutes, and rebooted.

Hallelujah, babe! I was up and running again with all systems GO~!!!

I've just upgraded to Maintenance 1.2.6.

ERIC  Works fine on my new MacBook and Leopard.

I love the features and interface of this app.

For the average user it's got everything you need to keep your Mac humming and all the functions are layed out in one uncluttered window. I plan on running it every couple of weeks. For you Leopard users you don't have to worry about the daily, weekly and monthly scripts though. That's all automatic now as far as I know. Thanks Mr. Developer!

TITANIUM1  If you used an old version, try to quit Maintenance and delete the preferences file (com.titanium.Maintenance.plist).

BRIAN50  Thanks for the advice.

Maintenance was installed over a clean install of Leopard (10.5.1) on a new internal hard drive so no previous version .plist file present. I downloaded the app twice and attempted to save preferences six times before giving up.

Deeper was installed first and appears to work perfectly. Removing the Deeper .plist file, just on the off-chance, made no difference to Maintenance. It simply crashes when attempting to save preferences.

NOSRAC  Keep in Mind, Maintenance and Onyx have the same developer. Maintenance is more of the 'clean up' side of Onyx.
