T-REX Config : MacBook 2 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo 10.5.6 + Safari 3.2.1 + SafariStand 3.1L162 + SafariTabs 0.6.2 (Tab undo support) and 1Password 2.11.1 Apparently there is a major conflict between SafariStand and 1Password leading to problematic displaying of the 1password browser extension button in Safari toolbar as multiple Windows reopen at launch (SS) leads to multiple 1Password button in the toolbar. Deselect this option in SafariStand setting (Restore Method at Launch=Nothing) and let SafariTabs control this parameter (When Safari Launches = Automatically open saved Tabs) and you override that issue. PROGRAMHAPPY Developer, I have a HUGE feature request that I think will be quite helpful to many users. There is (was) an add-on called "Twicetab" (see "Twicetab 1.3.1.1" here at macupdate), but it doesn't work on Safari 4. One of the optional features of TwiceTab that I desperately miss is the ability to make a URL (or domain name) in my clipboard open in a new tab. For instance, if I copy the text "http://www.google.com" or "google.com" and then double-click on an empty space in the Bookmarks Bar, it will open the Google home page in that new tab. However, if there is no URL or domain name at the top of my clipboard, the double-click action in the Bookmarks Bar will perform the user's default preference (home page, blank window, etc.) for a new tab. Whadaya say, guys? Hook us up! Thanks in advance! (Version 4.0SL170)

SJK SafariStand's "Flash Movie > Copy Movie to Download Folder" command is incompatible with the ClickToFlash's "Load H.264 videos from YouTube" setting. Without enabling that setting, appending &fmt=18 to a YouTube URL usually loads H.264 video that SS can copy. Any suggestions how to get YouTube to load H.264 automatically *and* be able to copy the video? (Version 4.0SL169)

KAZ219 safaristand 4.0L168 seems not to work with google gears... I can't load gmail anymore if gears and safaristand are installed. I I deinstall gears or disable safaristand, it's working again. Has anybody the same problem? Is there a getsatisfaction- or forum-like place to discuss this, as macupdate is not the best place for getting support on a software... ? (Version 4.0SL169)

DJSNICKLES it's awesome to have safaristand back. however, i have the following problems on my fresh snow leopard system: - sidebar constantly shows up, despite the fact that it is disabled in safaristand preferences - "open windows from last session" selection in history menu is greyed out - the first two flash options are greyed out: "load plug-in manually" & "enable copy flv menu". this last problem is unfortunate as the "click to play" flashblock was very useful, and i can't find the "action menu", which is where the "copy flv" command has moved. MAGENTIS The 'action menu' is actually a Safari toolbar item. Go to Customize Toolbar and it should be there. Then when you click the Action button, it will have a section called 'Flash Movie'. (Version 4.0SL169)

STEVEN GOODHEART This update, SafariStand 4.0SL169, works great on my Snow Leopard system -- no grayed out settings as some are reporting. Good to have SafariStand back...man, do I hate not having OmniWeb style side-tabs! I feel like I'm tab blind without it. And speaking of OmniWeb, when all my Safari plug-ins broke with Snow Leopard, I realized again how cool it is to have a browser like OmniWeb, with so many things just built-in to the browser that won't break with OS updates. SafariStand gives me side-tabs and workspaces - those are built-in to OW, and OW's workspaces are even more powerful and flexible. Many of Glims features are built-in to OW, but Glims does add useful features OW doesn't have. I am looking forward to having Safari's KeyWurl plug-in for shortcuts operative again for Snow Leopard, but OW's built in shortcut system is just as powerful and is tied in with its search engines. (KeyWurl's interface is nicer, though.) In conclusion, 90% or more of the functionality I have to *add* to Safari with plug-ins is just built in to OmniWeb, and I don't have to worry about an OS update breaking SIMBL or plug-in. Plus, OmniWeb uses Webkit, same as Safari, so it's just as fast and responsive as Safari. Plus, it's free. So, when I'm not using FireFox for its awesome extensions, or if I need to use Services with my web research (since Services don't work in Firefox), my Webkit-based choice is OmniWeb. Safari is third, but when I do use it, I sure am glad to have plug-ins like SafariStand operative again. (Version 4.0SL169)
