WHAT'S NEW
Version 5.1.11: New and Improved
- Limits Smart Groups now count scheduled total time for flights with no total time to provide more accurate information for duty limits looking at future flights.
- Improved display of block and on time performance information and added color coding.
- Added delete protection to Aircraft, Types, Places, People and Certificates. You will now be prompted before the delete occurs. This makes delete now works consistently across all the views, just hit “Delete” on the keyboard to delete!
- Added a simplified version of the Summary by Aircraft Type Report
- Added a 14 row version of the Jeppesen report for customers who wish to have it match their existing paper logbook.
- Hobbs and Tach now always show the decimal value.
- Improved calculation of night time to handle long haul flights that depart during the day fly through the night and land the next day.
- Improved display of Smart Groups set to show their value as “Actual – Scheduled” time.
- Improved display of the Available Report Keys window and moved it to the Help menu.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed an issue that could prevent the deletion of hobbs times.
- Fixed an issue that could prevent the selection of local time in preferences if a specific timezone had been set.
- Fixed an issue with the display of simulator time on the Swiss reports.
- Fixed the display of the Expiry date of certificates when viewed on the People tab.
- Fixed an issue with the PIC Night time display on the UK CAP407 Report.
- Fixed an issue that could prevent the route data from syncing from LogTen Mobile correctly.
- Fixed an issue that could cause the hobbs out time to change after syncing with LogTen Mobile correctly.
- Fixed an issue that was preventing sorting flights by the “leg” field on the notes tab. This should work correctly now and sorting by date should work as expected. For flights on the same day, with no out times, you can use the Leg field to manually specify the correct order.
- Duplicating a group now also copies the color thresholds.
- Importing data where “Pilot Flying” is set to “No” now no longer adds landings to those flights.
- Fixed an issue that could cause certificates to be out of order when sorted by “Days Remaining”.
- Fixed an issue with exporting to iCal when flights contained non-english characters.
- Fixed an issue that could cause Smart Groups with a single criteria using a Time value, and set to display results as something other than Total time would not display as expected.
- Updated airport data.
- Multi-pilot time entered in LogTen Mobile now syncs correctly to LogTen Pro.
- Row heights for the flights table now adjust correctly when the font size is changed.
- The visual calendar pickers for selecting dates have a bug in Mac OS X that prevent them from working with timezones, they have been removed until Apple resolves this.
- Fixed an issue that could cause the early/late (Now “Arrival”) display to be incorrect if the scheduled time was on a different day than actual arrival time.
- Numerous minor cosmetic and other fixes.
REQUIREMENTS
Mac OS X 10.5 or later.

FLYGARN I feel the need to add a comment here since the remarks seem very old. I bought LogTen at 4.7 because I had tried v2 and 3 demos and didn't really like what I saw. However with this version and the SQL database I think performance and features are great. I've since purchased the iPhone addon app and I log all my flights right there at work. When I get home I just sync it up with my mac and print out the pages from time to time. It's a great timesaver for me logging 80-90 hours a month, but for casual users it's probably overkill. If you're a pro however and using a mac this is a solution I would recommend. (Version 4.8)

LIAM0008 I'm using logten pro since version 2 and I always had problems with it. I updated to version 3 and still a lot of bugs... Mainly random loss of data. The thing is, being a mac user, if you want an "electronic" logbook you don't really have the choice. Then it's up to you. I spent 150 $ (version 2 + update to version 3) for a software that is not really functionnal and such a huge P I T A. If somebody could have told me... :( (Version 3.1)

ANONYMOUS Could be an absolutely killer app, but way too slow and buggy. Crashes about every fifth time it's opened, sorting with filters is painfully slow, opening takes over a minute to load data, which will only get worse as more data is added. For a commercial offering at a high price ($89 USD), it's not really a good value...developer is trying hard but you can't take ppl's money for something so unstable. Design/GUI is beautiful but database implementation is brutal...reading between the lines (developer also has design house, great website, great prog icons, etc) I'd say the creative side is A+ but the technical side is an F...stick with Excel. JONATHAN CARDOZO Logten has everything I need as a pilot to keep my logbook online. Much better than paper because I can search, and keep lists. I tried to keep my logbook in a spreadsheet, but LogTen makes it much easier. Flight entry is much faster than doing it manually. I especially like the "smart" reports in the pro version, helpful for keeping track of my flights in different types of aircract. The best thing about logten, though is that the developer is so responsive. A constant stream of updates and additions based on user feedback. Very cool. (Version 2.6.2)
