BOUSOZOKU As much as I like this software (it's worked well for me) and I've used it in place of Adobe's Photoshop plug-in for raw development, I'm unable to use any release past 4.1.1, as they no longer support PowerPC machines. This should be noted in the requirements but they leave this to a hard to find document in their support area. (Version 4.7)

PLANET I recently got one of those Capture One LE versions supplied with a memory card and have to second one of my previous writers: the files you're getting finally are looking quite different than in the preview. Think about it when you apply sharpening and your results can look quite nice. But sadly C1's file manager is very confusing and the temporary files stored in the pictures folder are huge. If you use this app permanently you have to expect the iPhoto effect: your harddrive gets a rubbish dump very quickly, better go for a bigger one soon. Compared with other, even free alternatives like the UFRaw Plugin for Gimpshop, Silkypix, Rawker, DCRaw which all are easier in use and delivering excellent results as well, I'm asking myself about what the fuss with C1 online registration and one copy per system folder when I can get the same or even better software for free? HAUSLENDALE Why would the developer leave all the ~.nib copies in the Resource folders? I thought to myself why is the app bigger than the norm. Well I found out. What a lazy developer. To remove all the not needed extras install the application then run the TERMINAL and give this caommand: rm -rf /Applications/Capture\ One\ PRO\ 3.7/Capture\ One\ PRO.app/Contents/Resources/*/*~.nib Oh about the application, switch to Photoshop or Apples Aperture, and don't look back. DOC RENAUD To have been obliged by my boss to use this soft for over a year, I learned to hate it. List of grief would be too long. But having to deal with the fact that what you see in capture one, in term of color, contrast, etc... is different from what you get in Photoshop after you develop the image, was driving me crazy. Also, talk me about the profile editor ! Ridiculous and clumsy ! Not to mention the constant crash of this app ! Did I say I resigned from this job two month ago ? :-) (Version 3.7.5)

COOLBERT In my point of view the Raw-developer i the market. The quality of the pictures that comes out of the program is simply the best. It's not a perfect program to handle but the result makes it wort using it. (Version 3.7.4)

WELSHBALONEY Sorry, but you make it WAY too hard just to pull down an evaluation copy in that the registration process necessary to login to the download area wouldn't play with Firefox or IE. Might be great software, but I've moved on to evaluating others...sounded promising too. (Version 3.5.2)
