THE_REAL_BEAN  great idea and well implemented. As far as i can see the only bad feedback has been from the odd "n00b" or two, and i've got nothing bad to say about it. Well done!

REVERB  For one thing, the ability to run it remotely from an ssh session.

For example, if your employer blocks MSN traffic, you can ssh to your Mac at home, and use this "Text-based MSN" on the Mac.

ANONYMOUS  its installed in /usr/local/bin which is a folder not visible to finder.

You run the program by typing 'tmsnc' in the terminal.

SANOI  Actually there's a manpage installed in $PREFIX/man/man1/tmsnc.1, if this is not in the default man path you will need to move it.

HENRY  Very nice. Works as advertised, although some documentation of the available commands would be nice (doesn't seem like it installed a man page.)

ANONYMOUS  Very cool program. It is simple to use and it has all the features needed for chatting with my MSN contacts although some stuff could be improved.. It seems a bit unstable but overall it is good.

ANONYMOUS  Useless. Refuses to authenticate.

I double and triple checked the username and password, but it still fails authentication. Connecting with another IM client using the same username and password works, so it has to be this software that is at fault.
