RBMARTINIV  I downloaded the Picturesync 1.8r18 install package and attempted to install it on my MacBook Pro (2.16 GHz Intel Core Duo with OS X version 10.5.8). I received this message:

"You canot use this version of the application PictureSync with this version of Mac OS X."

I tried it 4 times with the same result each time.

GAVIN CUTSHALL  "Tweak: support for Aperture removed"

Since when is removing a major feature a "tweak." The reason I purchased this product was specifically for its Aperture support.

This would be like McDonalds saying Big Mac, tweek, beef removed.

Dev: please don't make a cut and imply your product is now better.

LAMBSPORRIEGETTA  seems to have stopped replying to emails for support, and by god you'll need support pretty regularly if your experience is anything like mine. maybe he's hibernating. He'll be up soon. T'ill then maybe hold off on chucking your money at this one.

TIAGO  Got this from a bundle recently (can't remember if it was here or at MacZot) and since then I was not able to activate it...

Have send email to developer but no answer yet...

Oh, it's been "just" a week or so... I guess I'll just wait... Talk about money well spent!!!

Also, I bought this EXCLUSIVELY for using with Aperture and now it seems that I need to purchase the Pro version for such functionality... Clearly that was not explicit in the promo...

Buyers beware...

VERSEGURU  PictureSync *is* uploading sucessfully, however it is currently reporting the upload as failed. I'll release an updated plug-in that fixes this shortly.

Please report errors such as these using feedback in PictureSync as otherwise they may not be fixed promptly.

ANONYMOUS  Webshots is recommened using this software.

I've downloaded this program from Webshots, however it lacks any documention of how to use.

Why do they assume that everyone knows how to use it? You do know what "assume" does.

It makes an ass of u and me.

ANONYMOUS  You review is completely unfair, you did not even bother to check the developer's website. Furthermore, there is a Help menu built-in to the application.

Have a look here.

So, what's your excuse? Lazy? Or just a bit slow?

ANONYMOUS  Nontheless I have made the help window visible at first launch henceforth (it used to do this actually—until I decided it was unnecessary).

PAUL  I was a little miffed to find out the recent update prevents me from using the application on both my computers. Even Microsoft allows me to do that! While I understand the authors need to prevent widespread abuse, there needs to be a little more flexibility for those people who actually bothered to pay the registration fee, or at least a special price for those of us who have more than one computer in the house.

ANONYMOUS  I've been considering this and will implement the ability to enable simultanous use on a second computer shortly. You can however use your one licence on as many computers as you wish - you do however need to log into the licence page to do so (which revokes the old copy).

PAUL  This is by far the best uploader I have found. The simplicity with which this application communicates between iPhoto and the website is IMHO unmatched.

The author is also very responsive to requests and added a company I use (ClubPhoto) to the list. At that point, I paid my registration fee and we have been uploading happily ever after.

I think $14 is good value, but there is little to compare to. I have dabbled with application development myself, and failed, so I have a healthy appreciation for the need to pay shareware fees.
