MCFRAG I've used this puppy mainly to selectively replace the contents of HTML files I created in iWeb. For this, it is IMHO an ideal tool! Changing contents 30 files just takes a few seconds. And that's for multiple changes per file. Fast enough. Just use finder search to select the files I want in a hierarchy of folders, then drag&drop them on massreplaceit. (that's how you can do nested folder/treewalk for those who asked for the feature) You can have multiple sets saved for various repetitive tasks, so even if a more complex search-and-replace is needed to modify a file (or files) which normally would take a 2-step approach, it can be done. With ease. The fields can take quite lengthy pieces of text (I haven't ran against a limit yet), which makes it very easy to have f.e. the META values in a HTML file be replaced by something I want. For me it's an ideal side-companion to iWeb. (Version 2.9.1) |
