DESCRIPTION

Blue Coconut allows you to copy tracks from iTunes shared libraries to your Mac, so that you can make playlists or listen to them at a later date. The application comes with scripts allowing it to be used from the iTunes script menu, but it can also be used as an application alongside iTunes.

    G4FF3R  Fantastic with iTunes 6.......broken with iTunes 7.

    An update is needed but it looks like the author is no longer developing this program (which is a shame because this is so much cleaner than the alternatives - not made with Java so it's fast, doesn't require an IM client to share, or a webbrowser, doesn't require a buddy list etc etc).

    My score is for the 1.50b1 version working with iTunes 6

    STEVENSMAC  it seems blue coconut doesn't work on itunes 7.0

    i have tried it but no responded , cannot copied song from share folder.

    KBALLARD  Doesn't seem to work properly on an intel iMac. I hope a universal version is released soon.

    ATTENTIONWANDERED  much better then ourtunes.

    doesnt work with password protected shares though which is a huge dissapointment,(applescript error)

    other then that though works well.

    JAKEFH  Blue Coconut is perfect for "borrowing" music on a network. I hate that ITMS expects me to pay for the same songs my bro downloads... Blue Coconut lets me exercise my "older brother" rights under the international law of copyrightprotectionistoointensethesedays. I think it only works on d/ling songs that i actually have highlighted though, which is a bit of a drawback, because id like to highlight them, click them, and go back to sorting my own library.

    ROSSDABOSS182  wow. this is great. this is exactly what i have been looking for for about a week. it saved me from having to brun about 20 cds to transfer all my music, or talking hours to do it with an ftp host. keep up the great work.

    APT  Works great for me in iTunes 6 and 10.4.3.

    I have an old B&W G3 as a music server and this app allows me to copy my tracks to a local computer for syncing to my iPod.

    Is this app still being developed would love to be able to also copy my album art along with the tracks.
