Football Manager returns before Christmas packed full of new features for fans of the much-acclaimed series from Sports Interactive to feast their eyes on. Football Manager 2008 is out on PC/Mac this autumn, and offers football fans the chance to take on the greatest job on earth; manager of their favourite football club!
QUAN1000 At the start of my fifth season i applied for the sevilla and real jobs which the press had quoted me as being favourites for, both the french and argentenian fa's asked me to become their manager so i applied for both, i then spent a year and a half clicking continue while all the jobs remained in the applied status, i tried reducing my applies to just one by adding managers to the other jobs then deleting them but it didn't work. whats goin on? (Version 1.0)
ANONYMOUS to many goals fly in all the time! very unrealistic!plus goals are scored so early on nd big matches are ruined by to many goals (Version 1.0)
ANONYMOUS (give valid reasons to backup your claims)Ok this will probably sound stupid, but on the mac os x, there is no right click button. I am tearing my hear out trying to make my players run in particular directions in the tactics options as i don't have a right-click button, what in god's name do i do? (Version 1.0)
I have not long had my football manager 2005 game, and it has broken on me, what has happened is that saved games are not loading, an it also says a file is corrupt, well for a start the corrupt file will not delete so i tryed uninstalling the game and installing it again, but now it stops half way through installing and freezes, does anyone out there have any idea what i can do to fix it
MASON I don't have the answer but I also have that same problem. (Version 1.0)

KARDINAL Football Manager 2005 is a massive improvement over CM 03/04 - and SIGames are the company who kept the code and the player research resources after the acrimonious parting of ways between Eidos and SI Games, so while Eidos will continue to publish CM games, Football Manager is the true heir of CM 4. (No doubt there will be hard core fanatics supporting both games, I've already seen references to 'traitors' by people for supporting one over the other - to which I can only say: 'Grow up'.)
The player database has expanded vastly, including new leagues and countries, and the new interface is a vast improvement over the old (although as a long time CM player it took a bit to get used to). The media aspect of the game is much better, and can significantly affect the morale of your players and those of your opponents.
Overall, it's worth every penny, and I recommend it to anyone who's interested in sports management simulators. (Version 1.0)
ROSS Football Manager 2005 is the same as the old Champ managers, the only extra is the interaction with the media.
People saying that it is far better than champ manager have no idea what they are talking about. The layout has changed slightly but it is minimal.
The speed of the game has slowed to a snails pace, on the old champ managers you could get a season done in a very small time period, champ manager 4 was very slow and football manager, based on the old database, has slowed down even more. (Version 1.0)
ANONYMOUS FM is definitely the better of the now split cm series, i recommend anyone thats into football and manager type games to buy FM (Version 1.0)
GURNZ great game much better than championship manager 4 bcoz it has player photos and you can have a split screen.download it or buy it now! (Version 1.0)
