Zippist makes a compressed zip file from files and folders, with the option to encrypt them. A zip file can not contain resource forks, and the custom icons of files are not saved. Zippist contains a Unix command "zip" or Info-Zip. Mark Adler, Richard B. Wales, Jean-loup Gailly Onno van der Linden and Kai Uwe Rommel have its copyright.

APPLE2GS Fantastic program, I use it all the time when sending attachments to PC users. Works like a charm on 10.4 (PPC) but hangs on 10.5 (Intel). Therefore only 4 stars. (Version 1.2)
PDFPOST Excellent app!! In Tiger, it actually fixes a StuffIt Expander 10 issue - namely that StuffIt Expander 10 does not come with DropStuff. When you select the "Archive [this item] feature in the desktop contextual menu, it archives then proceeds to unstuff the file. Zippist does an excellent job of archiving PDFs so they can be sent to fussy firewalled network clients. (Version 1.2)
STRIDEZ superb app - though i don't think it's as fast as Panther's own zip feature, even though it's obviously more compatible with older versions of osx. Sweet!
But can there be a feature to create numerous zip files from numerous source files/folders?? Rather than one big/combined archive??
Also the progress bar should update depending on it's (err) progress rather than the individual files it's done...
Other than my moans, this is a great piece of s.w !! (Version 1.2)
