viJournal Lite is a free lightweight version of viJournal.
It's designed as an analogue of the good old-fashioned page-a-day bound diary - the kind you buy in a stationer's. You write your entries under dated headers and save them collectively by month and year.
viJournal has many powerful features, all added in such a way that they do not clutter the interface or detract from the original purpose of having viJournal work like a traditional bound diary.
Features:
iPhone version available
Optional file encryption
Two optional layers of password protection
Parallel notepad
Multiple journals
Export to RTF, HTML, PDF, MS Word
viJournal Lite 1.8.4, which runs on Mac OS X 10.4, is still available. See the SkoobySoft website for details and download.
RANDOMMAC This is a simple, solid, uncluttered journaling app., a nice piece of freeware that has upgrade options (vijournal), but has plenty of functionality as it stands. With the ability to encrypt, this is has significant value, and stands out from the crowd of other simplistic note pad software apps. You get more than you pay for with viJournal Lite. (Version 1.7.6)
BENNO Stop your whining..about viJournal Lite version works great for most people. Nothing fancy compared to MacJournal but that's a 35 dollar program. (Version 1.7)
ANONYMOUS Anyone considering this should first try MacJournal... it's free and it exports to Blogger and LiveJournal-- a feature found in the PAY version of this software.
Another annoying part of this is that they name features under light that are revealed on their website to be only part of the paid version. What fraud! (Version 1.4.5)
