MACLOVER1.1  This is THE color tool... The price ? Er.. well if you work in graphics.. get serious.. is this really "expensive" ? Considering it can analyze colors in images, makes lists, give you various wheels, pick colors onscreen, let you to quickly see how type might look in various color schemes.. What do people want today.. everything for a buck ? Try the useless object at Walmart... lol

The other color tools I really like are Painter's Picker and Spot Picker (for InDesign users.. it allows you to get all of the InDesign palettes directly in the Mac selector..).

Back to pricing.. how much does a Pantone paper specifier cost btw ?!!! mmhh Now that's expensive and we buy them anyway don't we ! Either you are serious about your work.. or else you don't even need Schemer.. the built-in Mac has "crayons" lol

BEIGE  Good God - the price. I thought - "sure, this will save me a trip to Illustrator CS4's colour wheel so maybe I'll pick it up." Then I saw the price. Drop it to $15 and I'll consider it.

BARGAINMAC  I own a license to Color Schemer Studio 1.6 and couldn't stomach the upgrade price for so few new features so I decided to look around and try alternatives. For the past week I have been using Painter's Picker from Old Jewel software and find it to be as useful to me as Color Schemer ever was at a fraction of the price. These guys have been solid Mac developers for years (remember Lazy Mouse?), tends to be very responsive, and their color picker does a lot of what Color Schemer does in a much smaller (and more Mac-integrated) package.

Color Schemer did its job well for a long time for me, and I am not at all saying anything negative about it... I am just saying that if you are looking for a good color picking software package that can define help you choose excellent color schemes; you can do it at a fraction on the cost with Painter's Picker.

OKDA  This is free on the web: http://colorschemedesigner.com/, a pretty nice color scheme designer.

KLAGRECA  Completely agree. I don't see enough features to warrant the upgrade price from 1.6 to 2.0 I'm thinking $14.95 to upgrade is reasonable for the new features.

HANDYCAM58  I normally do not quibble on price with small devs, but I agree with the other commenters, $50 for this is insane. It's a good app, but for what it does $15-20 would be more reasonable.

GRYPHONENT  Too expensive. I’m sorry. A feasible price point would be $19.99 or 14.99. Everything else cannot be justified.

SCHMELDING  Great app., but the price point is too high. Maybe $19.99 is more reasonable for what it does, IMHO.

MICHAEL CEO  This is great application that excels in ease of use. I found it indispensable when designing websites, flyers, or any diagram that involves color.

A very nice bonus feature is the photo schemer -- having Color Schemer find a color scheme for you from a photo.

OL_OL  Great App ! I wish it had the ability to add to your favorites color list all "suggested colors" at once, rather than dargging them there individually.
