HANDYCAM58  I normally do not quibble on price with small devs, but I agree with the other commenters, $50 for this is insane. It's a good app, but for what it does $15-20 would be more reasonable.

GRYPHONENT  Too expensive. I’m sorry. A feasible price point would be $19.99 or 14.99. Everything else cannot be justified.

SCHMELDING  Great app., but the price point is too high. Maybe $19.99 is more reasonable for what it does, IMHO.

MICHAEL CEO  This is great application that excels in ease of use. I found it indispensable when designing websites, flyers, or any diagram that involves color.

A very nice bonus feature is the photo schemer -- having Color Schemer find a color scheme for you from a photo.

OL_OL  Great App ! I wish it had the ability to add to your favorites color list all "suggested colors" at once, rather than dargging them there individually.

SIRTIGRIS  Lacks a CMYK converter. Definitly too expensive for only an RGB descprition. Could have been useful, as the interface is really smart.

FLOPKA  Price is prohibitive, considering there are so many free web-based utilities of this type.

ERRORR  The Photoschemer expects you to drag and drop as the only way to load a photo, but the drop window hides itself when the app is in background, making it a unnecessary hide and seek experience should you wish to drop a photo from the finder.

MILLCA  Having trouble dragging and dropping a photo? Try this trick:

Select the photo you desire to drop in with your mouse and while still holding down the mouse button as you drag it, click command-tab which will bring up all of your open applications. Keep hitting tab until Color Schemer Studio is highlighted. This will make the Color Schemer Studio come to forefront so you can drop the photo onto it. May take some practice to get used to this but once you know this trick, it will help in a LOT of different situations.

NUTTDAN  An amazingly wonderful program rendered worthless and useless by its prohibitively expensive cost. Definitely not worth $50. A shame, really, because this is an app that I would normally buy in a heartbeat if it weere reasonably priced.

JBLAKEH900  I concur the price is a little steep, but I love this program.

Any busy designer will appreciate and benefit from seeing quick color palettes based on a photo or existing logo color - or simply experimenting and testing different color theories - something most creative suites don't bother with at all.

In response to other comments... the UI may not be 100% Mac compliant (neither are most of Apple's own apps), but the UI does not get in the way of using this program - it is very intuitive. Similarly, whatever programming tools were used to build the program don't effect it's performance negatively...

COLOR SCHEMER  Hi jblakeh900,

This latest v1.5 release was actually completely rewritten in Cocoa, so a lot of effort was put into making it as "Mac-compliant" as possible. Redeveloping the app in Cocoa also provided a number of other speed and performance boosts over the previous release.
