LX  download and used it to share images on a forum. It was pretty easy to use. It exported the image as a .tiff but I just ended up converting it into a lower resolution jpeg through photoshop.

    STEVEN  Excellent utility.

I used it to convert a movie into images which I need for an OpenGL computer game. This is the only program that could do it (out of 10 I tried) and is understandable. It is fast too. The editing of the movie is great (shift key to select a portion of the movie). The only disadvantage is probably that it makes one big image instead of several smaller. As it turned out this was actually an advantage because now I could add an alpha chanel and color adjustments in one go.

Problem is the pricing, but it seems to work fine even if you haven't paid.
