MACMANIAC1987 Not a bad piece of software, it's easy to manage school stuff with. I was looking for something to manage my homework at the beginning of the semester, and this is a good option. Things I think are well done: The filtering by course is really easy to use and is a quick way to find assignments. The GPA and Finals calculator is nice, and I would use it, except that it doesn't include support for GPAs that are not 4.0-based. The program as a whole feels solid and performs well. Things I think could use some work: Only one file can be added to an item, which for me feels incomplete because I often have multiple PDFs and documents that go with an assignment. Don't really understand if the notes feature is for lecture notes, as it doesn't have any ability for rich text or adding pictures or anything. I like the calendar view, it allows for easy viewing of what is coming up, but it seems to lock up on me whenever I try to drag assignments between dates. If I switch to list view and back again, it is useable again. The dashboard widget is nice but it isn't quite useable since it doesn't allow checking-off when an assignment is done, you have to launch the application to edit anything. After trying this out, I think I will stick with my original choice, which is Schoolhouse 2 (http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/21783). It has more features and is completely FREE. For a college student that's a godsend. (Version 3.0) |
