GOGLPLX Hi Fellow StudioCzar Pro folks, Well, I am disappointed that Steve decided to cancel development and take The Czar off the market. If you haven't hear, go to the website and check out the news. So, what other programs are out there like SC? NICECAMAN I had a look at this app to see what relevance Lens review had and I can say: Not much. The app look OK, good features and functions, with a good layout. The interface might be a little bit on the dry side, but mind you, this is a app to use professionally, not a game. I worked in accountancy 20 years ago and whilst working you want to keep distraction to a minimum. So in that respect this add is fine. Also, I can not see that there might be confusion regarding what and where to click and the it is a plus sign not an X. That I am sure would be clear to all and sundry. A plus sign is used, as we all know, in OSX among others. That it is viewed slightly from the side is fine by me. I must complement the developer on the gentile and respectful reply to an unfair and slightly aggressive review. Well done. You are a kind and considering person. And good luck with a well constructed app.

ANONYMOUS Very clean design--both in terms of the visual interface and in terms of operating. I especially like it that all the components stay in a single installed folder--no little bits and pieces in your library or prefs or anywhere else. Makes backing up easy. It's a good value, too--I had been using an excellent, inexpensive timekeeper but when I decided to try and integrate my database and studio functions more tightly, i spent considerable time shopping and investigating different solutions. There's certainly room for improvement but I am confident future versions will just get better!

KELLIE QUINN I have been using Studioczar for over a year and it is a fantastic program! The cost of this advanced, feature packed product is amazing! The interface is extremely user-friendly and incorporates many intuitive features. The programs ability to create an invoice from my project expenses at the click of a button saves me a huge amount of time and money each month. The ability to export and interface with my Peachtree accounting package would be helpful in future releases. I look forward to hopefully seeing this an upgrade soon. Thank you Studioczar!

LEN User Interface is despicable. One of the worst I've seen. This is a job for Jacob Nielsen! A new window for everything, an 'X' icon to represent "add new item", greyed out fields look locked but they are editable, some tabs are tabs some tabs are buttons, no menu interaction. Just an awful UI experience. No human factors were taken into account here, expect to be baffled and make mistakes, mistakes that may cost you money.

DEVELOPER Regarding len's comments... Sorry it was a disappointment to you. You obviously do not share the enthusiasm that many, many users around the world have for StudioCzar and its elegant interface. I do feel it necessary to correct you on some false statements. 1) there is no 'X' for new. It's a plus sign with the text 'New' clearly below each button. 2) Every tab, or mini-tab within the solution is a click-able button, if its a 'tab' it is a button, there are no tabs that do nothing. I do appreciate your consideration, and again, am sorry it did not meet your needs.

ANONYMOUS I purchased this program before the end of the year (2004) right before the upgrade 2.0. There was a bug in the upgrade. When I emailed the developer to get it straightened out, he immediately emailed me back and posted a fix that same day! Very good support... can't beat that!

ASWJUNKIE This is a great application that is a sure killer to other alternatives out there except for two items. The first is the price compared to similar applications that are currently available. I'll gladly pay the price because it is a lifesaver compared to Clients&Profits and the flow of the applications is outstanding. The second is that a user needs to be able to enter in other dollar amouts other than those that have been entered in the prefrences. Need to be able to enter flat fees or just enter in any amout you wish in the various fields for each individual job. There is an overide feature for each client but when it is changed it is global to that client not just to that particular job.No job is the same so this flexabilty needs to be incorporated. Looking forward to the updates!
