DESCRIPTION
AcidSearch is a search enhancement for Safari. It adds unlimited "Search Channels" to the Google search field. Channels can be customized in a nearly infinite variety of ways. AcidSearch also includes powerful features such as JavaScript support, the ability to import iSeek and Butler Search Sites, true hierarchical menu organization, and the ability to search multiple search engines at the same time. AcidSearch also allows you to access your search channels with key equivalents, shortcuts (a la SafariKeywords), and a contextual menu.

AcidSearch is available in English, Japanese, traditional Chinese, Italian, and French. It is compatible with Tiger and Safari 2.0.

TYPER91563  Literally my favorite third-party add-on in the world because it allows putting a term into a list of customizable search engines simply by right-clicking the search text and the list appears next to it as a popup menu.

The *only* reason I use Safari as my default instead of Camino (AcidSearch for Camino would be the ultimate one browser solution for me.)

I don't think the developer spends much time on it because he can't afford to, so I would urge everyone to send him a small donation if possible (I am *not* affiliated with him in any way, I just think this is the greatest piece of add-on software I regularly use and it's too bad it can't be ported or at least polished out of beta status for Safari 3.) (He's also very responsive to emails, or at least has been to me.)  (Version 0.7b3)

WHIT_G  I miss this add-on every day! Is there any hope of an update, or should I stop checking this page? I see no indication from the author here or on his site that he's working on a fix for Safari 3.  (Version 0.7b3)

ELEGRAPHY  This version still have the same problems as I mentioned about v0.7b3 with my Safari 3.0.4 on Leopard. I can't use search field to do any search, and as I try to type in a keyword, the drop-down menu activated right away.

In the Edit window, it still has very buggy transition as you click on each tab. Some still have strange overlay problem. ON the Search Channels, the Action Menu does nothing when I click it. This also means when I add a new folder or a seperator, I can't delete them if I want to. In addition, I can't click on the Help, 1Password, and AcidSearch 0.7b4 tabs on any page.

I really miss using AcidSearch. Thank you for all your hard work :) Please make it rock again.

Leopard 10.5.0, PowerBook Ti G4 1Ghz, 1Gb ram, SIMBL 0.82.  (Version 0.7b4)
