AFMAC Be sure to test this before you upgrade, I have used Mail Factory for a long time and it has always worked well, so I decided to upgrade to Labels & Addresses and what a mistake that was it will not print anything to a hp 6310 officejet or a hp 8250 in tiger. so make sure it works for you before you give them any money. BELIGHT TEAM It seems that you have been in touch with our tech-support recently with this problem. Tech-support manager asked you to provide us a crash log and the document you are working with, so that we can understand where the problem is. Unfortunately, you didn't provide us any of these. Without such information it is hard for us to repeat the problem you are experiencing and help you in fixing it. Also, we haven't heard of any similar problem from any other user yet. If you really interested in solving this problem and not just complaining, please send us the crash log and the document you are working with. In case you need help about how to get crash log, we can explain you how to create it. (Version 1.3)

AFMAC And I told you people several times there are no crash reports, it freezes with spinning beach ball and I have to force quit and it does not give the dialog to report. The print dialog never opens up , it must have something to do hp printers. Mail Factory works fine. (Version 1.3.1)

BELIGHT TEAM It seems that you have stopped responding to our e-mails, and decided to complain instead. If you are interested in solving the problem you should continue communicating with our tech-support, as we never heard of any problem like you described in the past. It will be very helpful if you send us the document you are working with, so that we can try to investigate the problem. In case there is a bug in the program, we will try to find it and fix asap. Also we can advise you a workaround if there are some setting or other issue with your computer. It is hard to fix a problem without understanding it. (Version 1.3.1)

ADONSA To the developer, Belight Corporation. Have you read the user's emails? Key is that no crash report was produced, the program froze on his mac and would not recover from spinning beachball status. The condition is that you're "pinning the rose" of troubleshooting responsibility on the user. It's reasonable to ask the user to describe the conditions and to submit the "About this Mac" description of what system and hardware he uses, and it's reasonable to ask the user to reboot with the shift key down and then try your software. It is reasonable to ask the user to open the console/terminal, and type the command you provide, then email the results to you. Why didn't you give him the console/terminal command to produce a report of the conditions that preceded the unrecoverable freeze? That's it. This is the point where the user's troubleshooting man-hours should end. If the only way he can recover is a power off reboot, then going to the console/terminal for a crash report won't happen. It is NOT reasonable to ask a paid user to perform the duties of a beta tester, especially if your beta tester failed to do his job. Recommendation for the developer: Email the user the terminal/console command to apply, receive his email of the resulting file. If the user has to do a power off reboot, then you're wasting his time asking him for a terminal/console report. if you can't fix it, then refund his money and declare your product incompatible with this HP model. Know that the user has done a service for your company by reporting on a problem that your beta tester failed to notice. Read "The Macintosh Way." by Guy Kawasaki Without spending an inordinate amount of man-hours, run the program one more time, let it freeze, attempt control-alt-escape (which probably won't help), reboot if necessary, run terminal/console and type in whatever command is supposed to pull the conditions that happened at the freeze. Since you probably have to power-off reboot, this will probably be useless, but do it anyway; email the results to the developer - expect a refund if he can't fix it. If he wants to hire you as a beta tester, then that's up to you. (Version 1.3.1)

The ability to edit individual labels by clicking on the edit button when printing the sheet of labels is the part of Mail Factory program, but it is not connected with Merge printing and therefore not highly demanded feature. Even contrary, some customers were asking us to remove it because the program was freezing when this feature was enabled (especially in the cases when large amount of labels should be printed). As I said before, in this update we paid more attention to improving merge capability of the program and increasing the range of supported barcodes including industry-standard barcodes. And, of course Print Multiple Designs feature will be added in one of the nearest updates of Labels & Addresses. If you do not want to upgrade now, you may always do it later and continue using Mail Factory without any problems, we did not discontinue the program and still support it. (Version 1.0.1)

SHAWNB Really? What was so good in it that made you "upgrade immediately" Really, I'm dying to know... (Version 1.0.1)

WILLIAM25 The main reason is that Merge printing is so easy to use and that picking any particular person is so easy. Very easy for this 70-year-old. Not so easy to learn any more. (Version 1.0.1)

I don't understand how we could possibly remove a functionality that was never a part of Mail Factory. Yes, I agree that Print Multiple Designs is a valuable feature, furthermore we were trying to include it in Labels & Addresses, but due to time shortage we decided not to. In this update we paid more attention at improving merge capability of the program and increasing the range of supported barcodes including industry-standard barcodes. But we will add this feature in the future. As for your remark about being asked to pay for the Upgrade given that you already paid Printfolio price. I can't see how Printfolio customers differ from the ones who purchased Mail Factory stand alone program. Combined price of the items included in Printfolio suite is over $150, by paying $80 you got a real deal. And you seems to be using almost every program included in the suite. Furthermore, we offer free upgrade to people who purchased Mail Factory 3 months prior Labels & Addresses release. (Version 1.0)

SHAWNB Well... The Mail Factory product gave you the ability to edit individual labels by clicking on the edit button when printing the sheet of labels. This functionality no longer exists in Labels & Addresses so yes this was a 'Feature' of the Mail Factory which was REMOVED in the Labels & Addresses product. So let me re-iterate my original complaint: I asked you to make this function BETTER in a newer version of the Mail Factory so that it wasn't such a kludge to use and instead you REMOVED this feature, discontinued the product AND want me to pay for a new version that has LESS functionality than that of the software I paid for. How does this seem right? P.S. The money is irrelevant. Charge whatever you want for it and if it does what I want I will pay for it. BUT, if it doesn't do what I need it to do it is of no use to me and will not get my money. (Version 1.0.1)

SHAWNB Mail Factory was great and getting better all the time. I had even asked the developer to move the 'Print Multiple Designs' feature from their Business Card Composer product over to this software so that I could print several different styles of mailing labels on one sheet. Like Christmas, Halloween, 4th of July all with my same return address, etc. on one single sheet of labels and that way I wouldn't have the wasted labels I do now. BUT... Then they released this crap (Labels & Addresses) which actually REMOVES functionality that I previously was using in Mail Factory. WTF?!? AND get this! Now they want me to PAY them $25 to UPGRADE to this inferior software after already plunking down $80 for their Prinfolio Suite?!? NO, I don't think so! And I will start looking for another product and publisher that actually listens to their customers, not ignores them regarding added functionality for their products. It's too bad really, I was very fond of their products and company until this. I still like their CD Labeling and Business Card Creator products. (Version 1.0)

BRIAN KENDIG At $15 or $20, this would be an awesome piece of software. At its current price of $40, it's much too expensive for what it does. I want software to print return address labels, and Mail Factory makes beautiful ones, but I'm not going to pay $40 for this. Mail Factory Home Edition was perfect for this task at $20, but it's been discontinued. (Version 2.6)

MIKIE WYNNE How does this compare to Chronos 'Soho Labels & Envelope' programme. Is it any better, worse or the same. I would like to know prior to purchase. Is it more orientated to business use. (Version 2.2)

JON This seems seriously good - way better than similar apps - but I can only get it to print in mirror image???? And I can't then 're-mirror' in my printer, so everything ends up via the rear view mirror. Is this because I've only got the test version? (Version 1.4)
