LAMNA NASUS  DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS PRODUCT!

I made the mistake of buying Silent Sniper and it is five star rubbish ware.

I purchased v2 as it specifically stated it worked on ebay UK but it never did.

I tried the product three times and three times the product failed to bid. It never indicated that it was not synchronised or why it had not bid.

The third time I monitored Silent Sniper live during the auction and it just sat there and did nothing. I never used it again.

Life is too short to waste on finding out why an £11.56 product does not function properly; either it is simple to use and works reliably first time or you are not going to risk missing out on items you really want on ebay.

Just wish I had read the reviews here before wasting my money.

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!

MAXGRATTON  According to my records, you never contacted customer support with your problems.

Most likely your settings were not correct, and had you contacted customer support, the problem could have been worked out.

LAMNA NASUS  Hi Max,

I now use JBidWatcher, its free and it worked first time, without me having to contact their tech support department. I see no reason to withdraw a single word of my criticism of your product.

MAXGRATTON  For your future reference, problems aren't fixed unless developers are notified of the problem.

JAMES STAFFORD  I won't touch the demo if the full version costs eleven quid. Sorry, that's just a rip off. £11... You may as well buy an old computer with that off ebay the normal way and use it as a room heater or something.

ANONYMOUS  This Program SUCKS! It has lost EVERY bid... Every Single one and I've lost some pretty irreplaceable items with this program. When I log onto eBay after the loss the log of bidders shows none from me every time with this program.

LEFTNOTRACKS  "Irreplaceable"? I don't think you can call something irreplaceable if you never had it. Is my tail irreplaceable?

ANONYMOUS  You don't need any additional software for this eBay function. You can simply place a proxy bid and the eBay computer will automatically bid up to your maximum specified amount for you. There is no need for any external software.

COGITOERGOMAC  Anonymous, you clearly don't understand the point of this software. Sniping and proxy bidding are two different things. For now, if you want sniping, I'd recommend JBidWatcher.

ANONYMOUS  Why don't you try the free demo for yourself rather then relying on one bad comment for version 2.0 by a user that didn't actually even use it?

WILLIAM WHISTON  This developer is the worst I have come across in a long time. I purchased version 1.3 a month ago. Saw that version 2.0 was available and downloaded it. Of course it installed over my original version and needs a new serial that I am expected to purchase. Communication with the company is rude, shallow and not the kind of thing the Mac community usually deals with.

Of course all the linbks to Silent Sniper go to version 2.0 and the manufacturer just says download it from where you first dowmloaded it. By the way version 1.3 never worked for me

MAXGRATTON  The pricing scheme has always been listed on the web site that customers are entitled to free upgrades to the purchased version. Thus, in this customer's case, he was entitled to continue using version 1.X, which was updated 12 more times after he left this comment in 2005, so there is absolutely no basis to his claim that he was forced to pay for the software one month after his original purchase. In the case of v 2.X customers, since support for that product was terminated upon release of v 3.0, all 2.X customers have been provided with free updates to v 3.X.

ANONYMOUS  Try jBidwatcher, it worked great for me. Ebay had made many change recently, and jBidwatcher was not always working, but now is it... well, if ebay didn't make any change :P

Anyway when jBidwatcher is up to date with ebay, it work perfectly :)

WILLIAM WHISTON  This silent sniper does not place bids on eBay. Use it with great care and suspicion. I'd love to find a program that worked
