JADCO  The documentation for MPEG Streamclip describes the program as a video converter, exporter, player, editor and downloader. It does all of those things well, one at a time or in batches, and for some reason, it’s free. The best way I can describe it is that it does for video much of what Graphic Converter does for still images. A major thank you to the developers.  (Version 1.9.1)

MICHIGANMOTHER  I must be doing something wrong, after reading all the great comments here, but the resolution I am getting when I convert a MPEG1 file from my Sony Cybershot camera to either DV or MPEG4 format is terrible! Video looks fine in Quicktime or in Streamclip viewer before conversion, but I can see individual pixels in converted version in both Quicktime and iMovie. Original file is 640x480, I am using Mac version of Streamclip 1.9.1, and am clipping a 7 minute portion of original video from the file to convert so I can import into iMovie. Using all the preset defaults. Anyone have any ideas?  (Version 1.9.1)

MEHMET N. YAGCI  This program already rocks. Easily the best available. It can be even better if it displayed the audio track as a waveform. This is critical for editing for example interviews. The user does need to see where the sound level is high/low, where there are gaps and so on. I'd be happy to pay something like 49 bucks for a version that shows the audio waveform.   (Version 1.9.1)
