DESCRIPTION
MPEG Streamclip converts QuickTime movies, MPEG-1/2/4 files and transport streams into several formats; for MPEG-2 playback and export, the QuickTime MPEG-2 Playback Component is required. MPEG Streamclip can play and convert selectable parts of QuickTime movies, MPEG files and transport streams with MPEG/AC3/PCM audio into DV streams or QuickTime, AVI, MPEG-4 movies using any video codec, with optional 2D-FIR professional scaling, motion-adaptive deinterlacing, and other pro options; all in YUV, with audio in perfect sync. It also performs fast conversions to muxed MPEG files and demuxed M2V, AIFF, M1A, AC3 files, for direct burning with DVD Studio Pro and Toast 6, 7, 8.

MILA06  is the project is abandoned ?

i have many probleme to convert .ts vidéo from french adsl Freebox

the vidéo is from ArteHD channel

Vlc can read it

but Mpeg Streamclip cannot convert it

Sometime Handbrake can do it but not every time...

any help is welcome

i think the probleme for Mpeg Streamclip is the format 1440x1080...

HOTFUSION  Maybe it was just me. I just tried it again and it's working fine. I had a few niggling problems with a couple of apps after upgrading that seem to have been fixed with a permissions repair, so maybe that's all there was to it. Thanks though...

TRANCE  With this version if i try to edit and save an avi file i get a "no video compressor" error message.

The same files work fine with 1.9.2

MIP209  Hello,

I am new to MAC and various video formats.

I have JVC GZ-HD3U camcorder(HD) which generates .TOD files that cannot be directly imported into iMovie '09.

1) Can I use MPEG Streamclip to convert TOD files?

2) Which format I should convert the TOD files into so that there is minimum loss for HD video quality?

M85  I love this program. Even for the simplest things it's great - it encodes much faster than iSquint and at a higher rez. For the deeper tweaks and complex exports it's, well... deep.

SMTIPS  Why does one have to manually enter the frame rate every time you convert something? It does NOT just pick up on the frame rate of the original. Seems to me it should be common sense you want it the same if you don't specify..but that's not the case.

ROBOTANK  If I'm not mistaken, leaving the frame rate box blank causes it to carry over the existing frame rate.

METROPILOT  Thank you for this app. 5/5 MPEG Streamclip deserves the highest rating I can give IMHO. It´s free, it get´s updated and the features are awesome for a free app. It saved my ass in a lot of cases...
