Backdrop is a simple utility to fill your screen with a solid color or picture. This is useful for taking screenshots without having to clean up your desktop or as a dark background for other purposes.
LORIN RIVERS I use this all the time, both with a plain color (preferred method) and with the standard Mac OS X desktop picture. It's one of those "little things" that I rely on.
This little app is exactly what I was looking for, something that puts a layer between my top app and the mess below. The backdrop can be a color or image, so I made it the same as my normal desktop pattern which gives the illusion of a clean desktop.
Working on a duel screen system I have the option to cover one or both screens so I can still see all the open folders on my second screen.
HARMLESS Really helpful litte app. I use it for most of my screenshots. One suggestion: I'd like to be able to choose a picture for the background. (Version 1.1)
JOHN HANEY Thanks for the request. Please check out the picture option in Backdrop 1.2... :-) (Version 1.2)

DUSTIN This is a great little app that is quite nice to have when I need to make a screen shot for apple. Instead of having to go to system prefs and then to background and mess around with that, I can just double click an icon. Great idea, simple but very useful and timesaving. I should have thought of it.
Good work and I hope you find a way to improve it.
