WHAT'S NEW
Version 2.5.8: An update to modul8 has been uploaded to our servers today. The update adds some modifications to existing features and resolves some conflicts that have emerged with the recent updates to Mac OS X.
  • Support for .swf file playback using Flash 10.
  • Support for video capture (live video feed) at HD resolution.
  • Default memory settings in the preferences are now set to 60MB, 60%, 128MB.
  • Default video capture settings are now at the maximum quality.
  • Potential crashes when changing media quickly.
  • Potential freezes during a logical render.
  • In Leopard the output window did not return to front when switching to modul8 from another application.
  • Possible crashing when detecting video cards.
To download the most recent update access the 'Download modul8 Update' command from the 'modul8' menu. If you cannot please contact us at support at garagecube dot com and we will send you a link.

If you want to use the modules you have downloaded or created using v.2.5.x it will be necessary to move or copy them from the modules folder of that version and put them in the modules folder of v.2.5.8.

REQUIREMENTS
Mac OS X 10.4.8 or later, Quicktime 7.1.3 or later, PPC G4 @ 1 GHz or faster, or Intel processor, AGP or PCI-EXPRESS 3D accelerated video card with at least 64 MB of VRAM.

SPECTRAL7  Been a while since i have commented on this program. It is just brilliant one of the best pieces of software i have ever come across on any platform, it is rock solid, excellent usability, powerful.....i could harp on for hours....

To the devs...thx it has made my VJ creativity explode!

SPECTRAL7  Not overpriced IMO as Vjing is a small market so how can Devs recoup the cost of developing a complicated top level piece of software ? One gig will pay for software! i have had free updates for last 2 years and there is no other software that comes close.

AJ  beautiful interface.

very effecient!! runs on a G4 800mhz ibook like a champ. a perfect example of effecient code.

i wish it didn't depend on Quicktime requirements so much (flash files made later than flash 5 don't work), and i wish you could edit .swf flash text documents like in Resolume(PC), but its much more powerful than resolume in many other ways.

like 10 active layers instead of resolume's 3. not as many crazy fx, but that will all change with 2.0 and 2.0 is a free update.

this is a great "performance" vj app.

if you want hands on, get yourself Modul8 and a half decent midi controller and prepare to woo the masses. =)

SAVAGE  Well.....totally ace overall, great concept....can't wait for version 2, knocks the socks of many expensive Pro appz....and also what a great bit of programming....it has never crashed and i have thrown so many things at this program and used it on loads.....keep up the good work.....

JF VALDENAIRE  Hi VJ's, I jus't bouth that incredible soft, it is SO powerfull, Full openGL, clean and simple interface,

defenitely a dream come true for me ;-)

It's like ableton live but for video !

I strongly recomend it !

Buy it and support small but talented devloppers !
