PHALERON  This is a very helpful tool.

I do wish it had a dragable file icon at the top of the window, much like Preview (and most other graphics programs). I often need to drag a file from the current window into a non-default app that is open in the dock, for further adjustments. ImageBrowser does not currently allow for this.

FLYING_MEAT  You only need the application file.

The other files are for those who wish to build the application from scratch. You can ignore them.

MACMATH17  If you're looking for Graphic Converter or even iPhoto, then you might be disappointed. If you're looking for an image browser that is fast and easy to use by keyboard and mouse, then I think that this ImageBrowser works very nicely.

Many other image viewers are rather clunky on my 600 MHz computer, but this has some nice basic features (scrollable thumbnail drawer and slide show) and the ability to scroll through all image files in a directory by using left/right arrows, or Command-N. Also, the up/down arrow keys rotate the images. I like it.

I think this guy also wrote a perl script to find the WAN address from a router (which I modified to work with my router). If you like the other ImageBrowser, use it.

    JERRY LEVAN  Hi Bob,

To buld the thumbs ( after a directory is selected)

do a -b or directly choose the build

    thumbs from the View menu.

To see the thumbs do a -T or choose

toggle thumbs from the view menu.

ANONYMOUS  Canon will probably have something to say about the name of this application. I'd suggest finding a new title.

ANONYMOUS  This isn't the first "Image Browser" here, and the other one is much more complete and usable.

The developer needs to pick a new name, hobby or not, having two apps with the same name is just confusing.

(yes, I've contacted him and asked him, and he just says it's only something he's doing for fun... as if that's got anything to do with the confusion it causes)

ANONYMOUS  This isn't a real application, just sample code for developers. Unusably slow.

ANONYMOUS  This is really only useful as a source code example for Objective-C developers.

Beyond that there's nothing useful in this that you can't do with the Finder and Preview in MacOS X 10.3

ANONYMOUS  Why not? It's not hard to change a name and there are already numerous other applications sharing the same name.

I'd love to see Chevy come out with a Lexus, wouldn't you?
