DESCRIPTION

QT Sync is a QuickTime movie player.

What can you do with "QT Sync"?

  • Watch your movies in Full Screen
  • Correct Audio/Video Sync problems "on-the-fly"
  • Works also great with Airfoil. Visit the FAQ page to learn more.
  • Change the Aspect Ratio of movies without losing quality (No re-encoding needed.)
  • Combine movies which have been split into several parts
  • Crop the movie.
  • Insert a text track with TimeCode or Feet+Frames information into the movie.
WHAT'S NEW
Version 0.3.3:
  • When combining MPG movies, QT Sync was complaining about not being able to find out the codecs (but combined the movies anyway). Fixed.
Version 0.3.2:
  • Fixes some graphical glitches on Mac OS 10.5 Leopard.
  • TC Inserter: Can now add the TC TextTrack outside the visible Picture. (This will change the Movie Dimensions, but has much better Performance. Due to a bug in QuickTime for Intel Macs, TextTracks will eat up a lot of CPU power, when they are displayed inside the visible area of the movie. Especially with movies encoded with Motion JPEG A.) For more information open the TC Inserter Window and click on the Help Button in the window.
  • TC Inserter: New "Detect" Button. If a Movie contains a TimeCode Track (MediaType "tmcd"), QT Sync can now detect the TimeCode FrameRate and TimeCode Position.
  • TC Inserter: Under certain circumstances, a TC Text Track would not show up in front of the video. QT Sync now checks for the Layer information and changes it, when neccessary.
  • Controller Window no longer grows when the mouse is moved over the Movie Window in "Fill Screen" Mode.
  • No more "Unknown Exception while loading the Preferences File." when running a new Version of QT Sync for the first time.
  • Full Screen Mode: Controller Window will no longer automatically hide when the mouse in inside the Controller window.
  • Will now open .mkv ( Matroska Container - www.matroska.org ) files. Needs Perian 1.0 Codec to work ( www.perian.org ).
REQUIREMENTS
Mac OS X 10.3 or later, QuickTime (6.5.1 or later recommended)

JEFF H.  The only feature I would like to see is a batch convert.

I'm re-cropping a series of 24 QT movies and it would come in handy here.

Other than that I love this software!

A300SJ  This app is perfect for those video files that you have where the audio is not in sync with the video. Just a few slight adjustments and it works! An added bonus is that you can actually saved the repaired or synched videofiles in their corrected state.

    JFRIAH  OH

    MY

    GAWD!

THANKKKKKK you for creating this program! I'm a sound editor and "sometimes" the video editor forgets to / doesn't know how to insert a time code window burn.

I'm tired of messing around in Final Cut Pro when we need to insert a window burn.

We can now use QT Sync INSTANTLY to screen shows with clients.

    THANK YOU!!!

RUMPLESTILTSKIN  I've been using version 0.2.7 and would only assume that the app keeps getting better.

Very helpful when your movie has A/V sync issues. I often transcode from AVI's to MP4's and, when such sync issues arise, QT Sync can fix the problem. I "save as" (maybe I'm paranoid about altering a source movie) and the resulting ".mov" (which started as a ".mp4") still may be dropped into iTunes, copied to my iPod, and even streamed to my tv.

I consider QT Sync to be an essential part of my toolkit.

DOM21  Really weird. I've tried five different browsers, cookies and javascript enabled, used OpenDNS, even changed IP addresss (right now I'm "coming from" China!) but all to no avail. Everytime I click Download I briefly get the .dmg URL in the address window but it quickly snaps back to this page -- without downloading the file.

MICHAEL GERBES  Fixed with v0.3 . Sorry about that.

Next time, please contact me directly (My email can be found on the QT Sync Homepage), since I am not checking the review sections for bugs on a daily basis.
